IRI right now knows all they have to do is to survive another three weeks. Looks like they are doing more than that. A ground invasion is going to end in a blood bath for Americans with the ridiculous few thousand troops. Against the puny Iraq, US had 7 aircraft carriers. Here they have three with one of them on fire or its toilets blowing up. The rest are sitting outside the Persian gulf. Clearly they did not plan this at all. It was all a go for it on a whim of a stain.

It was only a matter of time. US continues with the arrogant assumption that IRI has no air defense and depleted stockpile. Just like shahollahies, it is more of a wishful thinking than fact. I suspect that China and Russia are replenishing the supplies and even giving them some advanced stuff because they have also detected and shut down F-35s.

As thousands of Oracle employees awoke on Tuesday to an email informing them they were being laid off, the workers likely didn’t know the tech company had been busy trying to hire foreign staff.
According to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services data, Oracle filed for roughly 3,126 petitions to employ H-1B workers in fiscal years 2025 and 2026. Employers must submit the paperwork when seeking to hire foreign workers in specialty occupations like technology. Some 436 of those petitions were filed this year alone.
Amazon, which in January said it would axe 16,000 corporate employees, has filed for some 2,675 H-1B petitions during the same two-year fiscal period. That came on top of news in October that the retail giant was axing 14,000 corporate workers.

Now, economically, the country is bracing for what could be the catastrophic financial consequences of its war on Iran.

• Opening the strait: The UN Security Council is set to vote Saturday on a Bahraini proposal that would authorize countries to use “all defensive means necessary” to secure the Strait of Hormuz.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on Thursday asked U.S. Army Chief of Staff Gen. Randy George to step down and retire effective immediately, a Pentagon official told Military Times.

The abrupt move cuts short George’s tenure, which began in September 2023, well before the end of the typical four-year term. The Pentagon intends to replace him with a leader aligned with Hegseth and President Donald Trump’s vision for the Army, the official added. They did not specify what this vision entails.

نمایندگان مجلس طرح 9 ماده‌ای مدیریت تنگه هرمز را تدوین کرده و در سامانه مربوطه بارگزاری کردند.

به گزارش گروه پارلمانی، تا کنون چندین طرح به منظور مدیریت تنگه هرمز از سوی نمایندگان مجلس شورای اسلامی تدوین شده است، از جمله یک طرح از سوی ابوالفضل ابوترابی نماینده نجف آباد و همچنین طرحی در همین باره در کمیسیون عمران تدوین شده بود علاوه بر این یک طرح 9 ماده‌ای نیز تدوین شده که احتمالا همه این طرح‌ها در یک طرح تجمیع شده و پس از تصویب در کمیسیون مربوطه به جلسه علنی ارجاع خواهد شد تا در صحن نیز مورد ارزیابی قرار گیرد.

یکی از این طرح‌ها طرح 9 ماده‌ای مدیریت هوشمند تنگه هرمز است که متن اولیه آن به شرح ذیل است:

«بسمه تعالی

قانون اقدام راهبردی صلح و توسعه پایدار منطقه خلیج فارس

ماده 1- از زمان لازم‌الاجرا شدن این قانون، به منظور اطمینان از تأمین امنیت منطقه غرب آسیا، ایمنی ناوبری دریایی و حفاظت از محیط زیست محیط خلیج فارس، دولت با همکاری نیروهای مسلح جمهوری اسلامی ایران موظف است خدماتی از قبیل راهنمایی ناوبری، بازرسی گذرگاه‌ها و شناورها، ارائه استاندارد زیست‌محیطی و ارزیابی رعایت آن، منع عبور یا توقیف شناورهای متخلف و ارائه گواهی تمکن مالی جهت پرداخت جرایم تخلف احتمالی را به شناورهای عبوری از تنگه هرمز ارائه دهد.

تبصره 1- شناورهای مرتبط با کشورهای متخاصم به جز مواردی که توسط شورای عالی امنیت ملی تأیید شده باشند و همچنین شناورهایی که در انجام تکالیف مرتبط با این قانون تخلف کرده‌اند، اجازه تردد از تنگه هرمز را نخواهند داشت و نیروهای مسلح موظف هستند مانع از تردد کشتی مزبور شوند.

تبصره 2- تعیین کشور یا کشورهای متخاصم در اجرای این قانون به پیشنهاد ستاد کل نیروهای مسلح جمهوری اسلامی ایران و با تصویب شورای عالی امنیت ملی انجام خواهد شد.

ماده 2- از زمان لازم‌الاجرا شدن این قانون، وزارت راه و شهرسازی موظف است نسبت به توسعه زیرساخت‌های حوزه خلیج فارس در بنادر و جزایر به منظور ارائه خدمات به شناورهای عبوری اعم از سوخت‌رسانی و خدمات انبارداری (بانکرینگ) اقدام نماید.

ماده 3- دولت موظف است گواهی تمکن مالی جهت پرداخت جریمه‌های مالی موضوع ماده 1 این قانون را به شناورهای عبوری از تنگه هرمز ارائه دهد. ارائه گواهی فوق منوط به دارا بودن حساب ریالی متعلق به شرکت مالک شناور عبوری یا شرکت ارائه‌دهنده بیمه آن در مؤسسات مالی و اعتباری ایرانی است.

تبصره- وزارت امور اقتصادی و دارایی موظف است با مشارکت بخش خصوصی، نسبت به تأسیس شرکت جدید به منظور ارائه خدمات موضوع این ماده و آغاز فعالیت آن اقدام نماید، به نحوی که حداکثر سه ماه پس از لازم‌الاجرا شدن این قانون، شرکت مذکور آغاز به کار کرده باشد. خدمات بیمه‌ای شناورهای عبوری از تنگه هرمز نیز توسط این شرکت قابل ارائه خواهد بود.

ماده 4- به منظور تأمین هزینه‌های ایمنی ناوبری، دولت موظف است نسبت به اخذ هزینه‌های خدمات راهنمایی ناوبری از شناورهای عبوری از تنگه هرمز به صورت ریالی اقدام نماید. هزینه‌های فوق باید به گونه‌ای تعیین شود که مسیر عبوری از تنگه هرمز همچنان ارزان‌تر از سایر مسیرهای ترانزیتی باشد. مبالغ مقرر برای خدمات راهنمایی ناوبری در آیین‌نامه اجرایی این قانون تعیین می‌گردد.

ماده 5. شرکت موضوع تبصره ماده 2 این قانون می‌تواند علاوه بر صدور گواهی مذکور، بستر ثبت عرضه و فروش کالاهای عبوری از تنگه هرمز را نیز فراهم کند.

تبصره 1- امکان پرداخت هزینه‌ها و معاملات در بستر مذکور صرفاً با ارزهای دیجیتالی خواهد بود که با مشارکت شرکت‌های ایرانی توسعه یافته باشند.

تبصره 2- دولت موظف است در محاسبه جرایم و هزینه‌های موضوع مواد 1 و 4 این قانون برای شناورهای عبوری که از خدمات ارائه‌شده توسط این شرکت استفاده می‌کنند، تخفیفاتی را بر اساس آیین‌نامه اجرایی این قانون در نظر بگیرد.

ماده 6. دولت می‌تواند خدمات موضوع ماده 1 و 2 این قانون را با رعایت اصول 77، 125 و 139 قانون اساسی با همکاری کشورهای ذی‌نفع غیرمتخاصم در تنگه هرمز از جمله عمان ارائه دهد. تأسیس شرکت موضوع تبصره ماده 2 این قانون نیز می‌تواند با مشارکت کشورهای مذکور باشد.

ماده 7. تا زمان راه‌اندازی سازوکار اجرایی مواد 1، 2 و 4 این قانون، تردد کلیه شناورها از تنگه هرمز تنها با تأیید کتبی شورای عالی امنیت ملی ممکن خواهد بود.

ماده 8. به منظور تقویت همبستگی کشورهای حوزه خلیج فارس و ارتقای صلح و توسعه پایدار منطقه‌ای، وزارت امور اقتصادی و دارایی موظف است تا حداکثر ده روز پس از لازم‌الاجرا شدن این قانون، با همکاری وزارت امور خارجه نسبت به راه‌اندازی صندوق بازسازی و توسعه خلیج فارس اقدام نماید.

تبصره 1- کشورهای غیرمتخاصم حوزه خلیج فارس می‌توانند نسبت به عضویت در صندوق اقدام نمایند.

تبصره 2- منابع این صندوق با استفاده از غرامت‌های جنگی پرداختی به ایران و سایر کشورهای عضو و سرمایه‌گذاری سایر کشورها یا کلیه شرکت‌ها تأمین خواهد شد.

تبصره 3- از منابع این صندوق به منظور بازسازی و توسعه ایران و سایر کشورهای عضو صندوق از جمله توسعه زیرساخت‌های مورد نیاز برای اجرای این قانون استفاده خواهد شد.

ماده 9. وزارت امور اقتصادی و دارایی موظف است آیین‌نامه اجرایی این قانون را ظرف حداکثر 7 روز پس از لازم‌الاجرا شدن این قانون با همکاری نیروهای مسلح جمهوری اسلامی ایران تدوین نماید و به تصویب هیأت وزیران برساند.»

Yesterday WC tickets went on sale again and we were able to get tickets for the games in LA. My brother also got tickets for the Egypt game in Seattle.
The NZ game was $140 in the upper deck, the BEL game $180 for the same area per ticket.
If Iran shows up we will go if Italy replaces Iran we can sell the tickets for a good profit and take an all-inclusive Mexican vacation [biggrin]
