The following organizations have classified what is happening in Gaza as a genocide: the United Nations Special Rapporteurs, Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, the Center for Constitutional Rights, and the International Association of Genocide Scholars.

Yet leaders in Congress and The U.S. House of Representatives show little urgency. When you follow the money, it becomes clear why: 100% of House GOP leadership and 75% of Democratic House leadership share the same top donor: AIPAC.

AIPAC advocates for the interests of the Israeli government, which has shown no willingness to recognize the human rights of Palestinians. Their positions on Gaza make a lot more sense once you look at their financial backers.

As always, follow the money.

They are not as flashy as others like NVDA and AVGO, but they are catching up.

At this point, all the AI activities are around the data centers and the required processing for big AI models and LLM.
For individual users, this means constant connectivity to be able to use the models.

In the not too far future, there will be a need to have the same level of intelligence in the absence of connectivity,  which means consumer products need powerful processing units for everything.
I am betting that AMD will play a role in that space as well.

AMD is just picking up. Lisa Su is one of the better Semiconductor CEOs around.
Thanks to her AMD has gone from couple dollar stock to where it is now. And they will not stop.
They have lots of potential in the future AI deployment.
I will be buying more on any drops before $150.

ran is experiencing a new heatwave beginning July 29, with more than 12 weather stations recording temperatures above 50°C (122°F) in the past 24 hours, according to the country's meteorological service.

Sadegh Ziaeian, head of the National Centre for Weather Forecasting and Crisis Management at Iran's Meteorological Organisation, said temperatures are expected to peak on July 31, with extensive areas of Ilam, Khuzestan and other tropical regions likely to exceed 50°C.

The official told Mehr on July 29 that the rising temperature trend will continue through July 30-31, with Tehran reaching approximately 40°C (104°F) or higher during this period.

Weather instability is forecast for several provinces, with increased cloud cover, rain showers, thunderstorms and strong temporary winds expected in central Alborz heights on July 29 and parts of West Azerbaijan, East Azerbaijan, Ardabil and central Alborz heights on July 30.

These conditions will continue on August 1-2 in parts of Mazandaran, central Alborz heights and slopes, and Zagros heights, intensifying during afternoon and early evening hours.

Strong winds with dust storms and reduced air quality are expected in most eastern regions, particularly the Zabol area, on July 29. From July 30 through August 2, similar conditions are forecast for parts of central, southern and southwestern regions, including provinces on the southern slopes of Alborz.

Ziaeian said current temperatures are approximately in the same range as last week's peak temperatures and may increase by one to two degrees.

Tehran's sky will be partly to semi-cloudy on July 29 with occasional wind speed increases. The capital's minimum temperature will reach 29°C (84°F) with a maximum of 39°C (102°F).

Iran's Meteorological Organisation continues monitoring the extreme weather conditions affecting multiple provinces as the country experiences one of its most intense summer heatwaves.

Iran's 15 major dams have experienced water reserve declines of more than 50% compared to the same period last year, according to the latest statistical report from Iran Water Resources Management Company, Tasnim reported.

The country's dam reservoirs currently hold 22.6bn cubic metres of water, representing 44% of total capacity, whilst 56% of reservoir capacity remains empty.

Analysis of the nation's dam water reserves compared to the corresponding period last year reveals significant water storage reductions across major infrastructure projects.

The water crisis particularly affects central and southwestern provinces, with some reservoirs showing critical levels below 30% capacity. The situation reflects ongoing drought conditions and increased water consumption during summer months.

Iran's water management challenges have intensified due to reduced rainfall, rising temperatures, and agricultural demand pressures across multiple provinces.
