They are each good in their own way. Women games generally show better team work but are a lot less competitive. It is very disheartening to see a strong women's team (only a hand full in the world) to play a lower ranked team. It is not even close. Men's teams are less strategic and the game is moving more toward power and speed. IMO the flare of the game is leaving the men's game, even in south American teams. They have become more of hacking teams playing rough. But there is a lot more competition between men's teams. Iran can show up with CQ as the coach and give teams like Argentina, Spain, and Portugal with Ronaldo a hell of time. You do not see this in women's games yet.

Maghsoud and Reza, I am also in. December 5 would work for me. We probably need two or three days for this. It is a 5 hour drive from SD.

Faramarz it looks like the date has not been set yet but may be on December 5 in Las Vegas. Should we all go? You can buy tickets to it soon.

When is the draw and how can we watch it? Kind of exciting. I am not sure whether to wish Iran to play in US or not.

FIFA has set the date and place for one of the most anticipated moments leading up to the 2026 World Cup: the group stage draw. It will take place on Friday, December 5th, in Las VegasNevada, where the initial matchups between the qualified teams for the tournament co-hosted by Mexico, the United States, and Canada will be determined. The event will be held in a luxurious venue: The Sphere, the most spectacular entertainment venue in the city, now also dressed for soccer.

This draw will mark the official start of the journey for the 48 teams competing in the first World Cup with an expanded format. And although several spots are still up for grabs, the already qualified countries will be eagerly watching the pots to find out not only their group but also where they will kick off their World Cup adventure. For the teams, it's time to start mapping out their tactical route; for the fans, the excitement of planning trips and dreaming of epic moments ignites.

Meanwhile, ticket sales begin on September 10th, even though the complete schedule and matchups are not yet known. FIFA will offer blind tickets for those who can't wait any longer and are willing to bet on experiencing the World Cup from the stadium, regardless of who plays. It's a risky move, but an exciting one for true fans who just want to be there, at the biggest soccer party.

Today I am showing 84% decline in BYDDY. [rofl] Today I only have 20 shares again. Yesterday I had 120. But the price of the stock is from post split which will actually happen on Friday. It is $15.46 instead of $120+. The whole thing is screwed up.⁩

Wow, lol, good for you man! long-term investment is the way to go. But somehow I do not have the patience for it. My biggest repeated mistake is that I buy with the intention and strategy of long-term investment but get frustrated in temporary dips or excited in temporary rise and sell it after a short period.

The United States blew through about a quarter of its supply of high-end THAAD missile interceptors during Israel’s 12-day war with Iran in June, according to two sources familiar with the operation, thwarting attacks at a rate that vastly outpaces production.
US forces countered Tehran’s barrage of ballistic missiles by firing more than 100 THAADs (short for Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) – and possibly as many as 150 – a significant portion of America’s stockpile of the advanced air defense system, the sources said. The US has seven THAAD systems, and used two of them in Israel in the conflict.
Using so many THAAD interceptors in such a short period exposed a gap in the US missile defense network and depleted a costly asset at a moment when American public support for Israeli defense has reached historic lows.

Not to show off but I bought AMD back in 2008 for less than $5. I accumulated about 4000 shares but right now only hold 1000 shares.
Another semi stock to consider is AMAT(Applied Materials) they make the equipment that INTC, AMD, NVDA, etc....use to make their chips. It pays a good dividend too. I bought that back in 1995 for less than $5 too [biggrin]

This sounds like the INTC of the 90's and 2000's. Doesn't it? Everyone said AMD has no chance.

The only caveat here is that in AI domain, you need to beware that number 1 is the real winner n there are very little to no room for second or third place. What I mean is AMD pursing NVDA in GPU design is futile at best. They need to come up with a novel approach/architecture to go head to head. NVDA is intrenched and financially secure that can push competitors to the brink of bankruptcy

Their market cap is 1 trillion more than France’s GDP 😳

Comments:
On the discussions about AMD, I should say that they are doing to NVDA in the AI domain what they did to INTC in the CPU area. The strategy has been super successful. We'll see if NVDA will fall asleep like INTC did. Probably not. NVDA is already investing heavily in QC. So, they keep pushing. INTC just sat on its ass and did nothing.
