Comments: What is happening to this country? I didn’t know this guy and I’m sure I would not agree with him on most issues but assassination is not how we resolve differences, or is it these days? In the past year multiple people were assassinated in different countries, some in our own country. Military staff and scientists! This is becoming normal and that is very, very scary.

President Trump said on Truth Social that Kirk is dead. Kirk was removed from the premises by his security team, the school said. Videos circulating online show Kirk recoiling after a shot was heard, with blood pouring from his neck. A university spokesperson said they do not have a suspect in custody. The school previously said in an alert that police had a suspect detained.

Comments: Let me jump in as well. When a player is in his 20s, he should try to play for the best teams and the best league he can find. Early 30s is the transition period. If he can and money is good, play in Europe or anywhere with a decent league. Mid 30s is the last chance to make as much money as you can, regardless of the league. Taremi was doing great in Porto. He should have stayed there until his mid 30s and then move anywhere with money. This WC will be a big one as far as retiring super players. So many big names will be playing their last WC. Taremi is also going to be playing his last WC. I would move back to Iran and play for Persepolis my last 3-5 years. Of course playing in Iran has its own issues outside the sport but I think he can do great for few more years and retire in style.
