The timing of this blockade is genius. It is a stare down, saying, if u mean it, do something about it. Now Trump is forced an impossible choice: a) military attack with the knowledge that the Russians and the Chinese are willing to get engaged, b) negotiate but now without any cards in his hand. After this, the military option is off the table. Expect Iran to be unwilling to give up nothing. Like I said time to teach the author of "Art of a Deal" how to call a bluff.

In the middle of this, sadly, and irrelevantly, lies all the hopes and aspirations of a nation.

A tribute to the self proclaimed leaders who brought us here.

Yup. That is what happens when u shoot your mouth without thinking or having the backbone to follow through. Like I said 6 years ago, he will serve to dramatically reduce US' influence in the world. He is delivering on this much better than I imagined!

Faramarz, if after all this lashkar keshi, trump does a TACO, Russia n China will be the true winners n we will be entering a new tri-polar world where US is no longer the big dowg.

Hamvatan, Zinsky, there’s a sector in Iranian Diaspora that are incapable of accepting or hearing criticism. They tend to be older crowd who seem emotionally rather than logically vested in this brouhaha. No amount of evidence or proof will ever be sufficient to them to admit errors n change direction.

Case in point, anytime you criticize Pahlavi, you’re either MEK or a leftist. Ask em why leftist are such inferior label or degenerative, they can’t clearly answer you when u remind em they lice in mostly socialist societies with healthcare for all, a pension system etc.

So, as expected, Russia is not so willing to give up Iran as easily as the US did in '79. Now Trump will actually understand what a hard bargain means.
I think Russia will not lose Iran and will keep Ukraine.

Iran has partially closed the straight of Hormuz, for the first time in almost 40 years and Chinese naval forces have joined Russian and Iranian ships to start a naval exercise 😳😳😳

Reza,
That is exactly my point. Was there a race? Did the “others” got quiet because he had money, support or something else that I’m not aware of? It’s not a fair comparison for the opposition in Iran. They are being killed, imprisoned or worse. Is there anyone outside Iran who can speak up? Anyone else who has the means to bring in thousands to listen to him/her? If so, why are they not getting any traction? It can’t be only because he has a bigger mouth!
I don’t know what to think. I’m willing to listen to anyone with a plan and enough support. Anyone?
And yes, I agree Reza’s supporters are only after their own interests. They don’t want to hear anything else. That said, any other candidate could change few minds if they show up and fight.

This guy and his people r clowns

Zinsky u talk as if there was a fair race and he was picked. There was no race n he has been kept in a jar of torshi for 47 years n all other voices r overwhelmed. isn't it strange that there r no other candidates in a 90mil population? they have no platform

Christiane Amanpour's "interview" with Reza Pahlavi at Munich was a total disgrace! The same "journalist" who's long softballed Islamic regime's officials, turns rude & incompetent toward the Iranian opposition leader, repeating irrelevant old questions and parroting Islamic regime propaganda... while the regime massacres Iranians on the streets! This happens when someone in retirement age gets radicalized, ending up making a global fool of herself! Time to hang up the mic!

I keep asking the same question, mainly for myself.
How come Reza gets the most attention? Is it because he has more money? More followers, more support among world leaders and world powers?
Why is it that the rest don’t get online, as much? I understand the ones in Iran don’t have the freedom to speak freely but are there any outside Iran or he is it!
I assume he has the support of Israel and Jewish community but at least here in Boston area that doesn’t seem to be the case. I know couple of Jewish doctors and both hate him! I asked why and they pointed at his father and how he was not pro Jews and didn’t help them out during his time in power! I’m not sure if that is true but what do I know?!?
Either way, he seems to be played as well. If he is being paid to do all these interviews and appearances, why not but if he truly believes that the west and Trump are on “his side”, he will be disappointed again!
Did you guys see Amanpour interview with him, Graham and the EU president in Germany? Amanpour is getting lots of hate from his supporters for being too tough with him! They comparing her interview with the IRI leaders and how gentle she was vs how serious she was with Reza!!! She asked good questions and Reza tried to stick to the script.

Stephen Colbert says CBS didn't air interview out of fear of FCC

Colbert kicked off Monday's episode of "The Late Show" by saying that the network's lawyers told him he could not have Texas state Rep. James Talarico on the broadcast.

He will do what the masters tell him to do and if that makes him look like an ass, like it has for the past 47 years, so be it. We have already seen him pivot twice in the last few weeks. When Trump announced that he wanted to make a deal, he said we should wait and not overthrow yet. [rofl]

Look I am not ready to say a deal will be struck or there will be no military action, but what if this thing drags on for months not days.

What is 1/4 Pahlavi’s position here? Advocating for overthrowing of IR with or without US/Israel intervention or is he willing to concede at that point and go back to his old life
