Comments: What does the “G” in RPG stand for?🤔 Either way, the fact that we believe he is too nice has to make you wonder about us. What does it mean to be too nice? If it means too liberal, then it is fine with me. If it means he is a puppet and can’t think for himself or the country, then I’m worried. We are talking about Reza Shah as being a tough guy. He was but when he took power, the world was different. Was he tough with the world or tough with the people who he realized need guidance in his country? I’m not sure if RPG is either. He is saying the right things to make sure people are not afraid of a new dictator. Do we want a dictator? Is that what Iran/Iranians need? I don’t have the answer. It might be needed during the transition but in all reality, what dictator would take over, organize the country, get it going the right way and then hand it over to a democratic system?
Comments: Faramarz, Once again, based on what I hear from my family back home, they believe if Trump/US use their might the right way (targeted attacks on leaders and forces royal to the regime), the people can have a semi equal chance to fight and take over the country. I’m not convinced but if they want it, who am I to argue with them. Don’t get me wrong, I have argued with them in the past but at this stage and after the massacre of thousands, I’m not going to argue anymore. If that is the only way people of Iran want it to happen, I support them with lots of anxiety and hope.
Comments: This is how my family splits into different groups. Anyone who is 60 or older and remembers the Shah and the times during his regime wants to go back to it. Of course my family was always against this regime and against the revolution from get go. People between 40-60 are mainly following the 1st group as they have heard about the “good” times. Anyone younger than 40 wants regime change with every fiber of their being. They are not pro this guy or that lady, they just want change. They want basic freedom, basic jobs that could pay for basic life. They want to get married and have kids but they know they can’t under current circumstances. They are mainly studying or have studied with the hope to get out of Iran. They don’t want to leave but feel it is the only way. Outside Iran, most are older people like myself. We want a free country that we could visit or live in without fear of this and that.
Comments: "I don’t know who this guy is but I couldn’t say what he is saying any better." Same here.
Comments: Now a second question: :) Let's say that Trump actually decides on regime change. So, his full intention is that. Can he + YAboo accomplish this by bombing from the skies?
Comments: This is my main concern about RPG: "You can't be a nice guy and rule iran." He has shown that he is not inkAreh.

Comments: That is the million dollar question for any one who comes to power. Not just RP. Who else is out there as an option. Definitely not Mojahedin and not any separatist group. We need a patriot and vatanparast. Problem with RP is not about his patriotism. I think he is a nice mihanparast guy. But this is politics. You can't be a nice guy and rule iran. Iran needs a ruthless Reza Shah or Ataturk after Islamic republic to make big changes. But as Zinsky said look at Lebanon Syria Venezuela and Cuba. There is a new world order out there which will decide. I still think Trump will go with a friendly Rouhani or Hasan Khomeini as a bridge just like in Venezuela. RP cannot do the job.

Comments: Faramarz, I don’t really know. I’m not sure if Pahlavi is any different from the rest. What happens after regime change, no matter who is the leader, is the main question. No one can predict or promise anything. I don’t think the world would easily let Iran be what we hope it should be.
Comments: MojAhedin are worse than ShahollAhis. What is interesting about them is that they do not care whether anyone is listening or not, they blast their bs anyway.
Comments: I would like to ask you guys how you assess RPG's backbone in maintaining Iran's integrity and withstanding west's pressure to give up parts of Iran, if he becomes the next ayatollAh/ShAh.
Comments: RPG has no chance. The opposition is very united. https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRoR-QkwldG2SZTMsNRHDY-NOJSF70CJqtjTu-8geCX-Q&s

Comments: I agree Zinsky. These fights should be left for election and as you said for the ballot boxes. Not now. The only thing positive is that these fight between pro and anti is only happening outside of Iran by a fistful of expired پیر خرفت The fight is between left who fought for the revolution in 1357 and were unsuccessful and those who are against the 57 revolution altogether. I do not worry about these mashangs. On both sides. They are not going back to Iran. I know many on both side who will end up living here with kids families and naveh and natijeh No one is fighting in iran about these things. Before a total regime change there will be an interim inside system guardian from within like in Venezuela. I still think Rouhani will come to power and will change the constitution and I think this is being discussed in the negotiations. |
