With people ready to fight, it could be the catalyst needed to overwhelm the regime, or that is the hope. It all depends on the strategy of US/Trump. Comments: I am not sure "nice" is the right word to describe RPG. I think lack of backbone or being an asset better describes him. I do not think he is nice. Because if he was, he would have reigned in on his violent supporters. I think when it comes down to it, like his father, he will imprison nay sayers and kill them. My biggest problem is that when you come in as an assets who has nothing and is entirely at the mercy of a foreign power to come to power and stay, you will have to do what they say. If they tell u give up a few islands or regions, you have no choice but to obey. Case in point was his father.

If it means too liberal, then it is fine with me. If it means he is a puppet and can’t think for himself or the country, then I’m worried. We are talking about Reza Shah as being a tough guy. He was but when he took power, the world was different. Was he tough with the world or tough with the people who he realized need guidance in his country? I’m not sure if RPG is either. He is saying the right things to make sure people are not afraid of a new dictator. Do we want a dictator? Is that what Iran/Iranians need? I don’t have the answer. It might be needed during the transition but in all reality, what dictator would take over, organize the country, get it going the right way and then hand it over to a democratic system? |
