کیروش بعد از ۷ سال مربیگری در تیم ملی کشورمان و رساندن ایران به دو جام جهانی ۲۰۱۴ و ۲۰۱۸ در سال ۲۰۱۹ راهی کلمبیا شد و هدایت تیم ملی این کشور را برعهده گرفت. کیروش برای مدت یک و نیم سال هدایت تیم ملی کلمبیا را در اختیار داشت ولی در نهایت برکنار شد. سرمربی پرتغالی ۶ ماه پیش هدایت تیم ملی مصر را برعهده گرفت ولی در رساندن این تیم به جام جهانی ۲۰۲۲ ناکام ماند. کیروش پیش از هدایت تیم ملی مصر نیز یکی از گزینه های اصلی عراق بود اما در آن زمان به دلیل شرایط مالی با فدراسیون عراق به توافق نرسید.

Comments: Faramarz JAn, I liked Ebbi a lot; and we are actually old family friends. I have always loved his voice and his music, and that will never change. However, after listening to his reasoning for why he performed under those conditions, I lost a lot of respect for him. I know that entertainers are supposed to entertain and please others, in order to feed themselves, but to sell part of his heritage like that..., it is demeaning. I still love his art, but with less respect.
