(NTS-3) Navigation Technology Satellite-3 for GPS
The U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory are awaiting a dedicated satellite launch to enhance their basic navigation-scheduling services.
Excessive reliance on the Global Positioning System (GPS) is expected to increase U.S. vulnerability to anti-satellite weaponry, lasers and Russian and Chinese electronic warfare tools. This is what Gen. David D. Thompson, vice president of U.S. space operations, referred to in May of this year.
Earlier, reports about Russia's progress in electronic warfare and disruption of GPS signals and the performance of U.S. drones over the skies of the Crimea region and Syria in 2014 and 2018, respectively, had attracted the attention of U.S. Defense Department officials.
This comes at a time when the introduction of Russian anti-satellite and anti-drone laser weaponry such as Kalina, Perseut and Zadira has added to American concerns. Persut and Zadira are anti-drone laser weaponry, while Kalina is an electro-optical weapon that can damage and disable a hostile satellite using laser pulses.

My concern about the 2026 world cup is this: There will be Iran, Australia, Japan, Korea, and Saudi Arabia. This is the top teams that we have and outside of Japan, they populate the lowest seeding in their respective groups in the current world cup. But then we are also adding the spectacularly crappy next four. They r doing this from all continents and so the next WC will not be so special anymore. We will see the likes of sh$tty Bahrain take on the likes of France and Brazil. ![[confused]](https://cdn.websitetoolbox.com/images/boards/smilies/confused.gif "Confused - :confused:")
Like Keefer said, this is just adding more games so that FIFA can make more money, at the expense of lowering the quality of the tournament.

You are making this too complicated! This is just Asian qualification. They go from 45 teams in Asia to 8+1. We can almost guarantee the 4-5 teams from Asia going forward. The real fight will be for the 3-4 spots remaining. This will surely help 2nd and 3rd rate Asian teams. They will play more games against 1st rated Asian teams.

Here is how I would do the world cup:
Central/North America: 1.5
Asia/Australia: 4.5
Africa: 5
South America: 5
Europe: 8
Or simply use the ratios from the top 50 teams in the world. But not by coca cola ranking. Use ELO.

ه گزارش خبرنگار مهر، کنفدراسیون فوتبال آسیا فرمت جدید مسابقات انتخابی جام جهانی ۲۰۲۶ که سهمیه قاره آسیا تا ۹ تیم افزایش یافته است، را تشریح کرد. راهیابی به جام جهانی ۲۰۲۶ برای تیمهای آسیایی سادهتر شده است و در شکل برگزاری مسابقات هم تغییراتی صورت گرفته است.
این اتفاق برای مسابقات جام ملتهای ۲۰۲۷ آسیا هم رخ داده است.
مرحله اول مقدماتی جام جهانی
۲۲ تیم که در ردههای ۲۶ تا ۴۷ قرار دارند، به صورت رفت و برگشت با هم دیدار میکنند. ۱۱ تیم برتر، به مرحله دوم صعود میکنند.
مرحله دوم مقدماتی جام جهانی
۳۶ تیم شامل تیمهای رنکینگ ۱ تا ۲۵ به علاوه ۱۱ تیم منتخب از مرحله اول در ۹ گروه چهار تیمی با یکدیگر به صورت رفت و برگشت دیدار میکنند. دو تیم برتر از هر گروه در مجموع ۱۸ تیم مجوز حضور در جام ملتهای ۲۰۲۷ آسیا با را به صورت مستقیم به دست میآورند و راهی مرحله بعدی انتخابی جام جهانی میشوند.
فرمت صعود به جام جهانی ۲۰۲۶ اعلام شد/ شروع کار ایران از مرحله دوم
مرحله سوم انتخابی جام جهانی
۱۸ تیمی که به صورت خودکار جواز حضور در جام ملتهای آسیا را هم به دست آوردهاند در سه گروه شش تیمی به صورت رفت و برگشت با هم رقابت میکنند. دو تیم برتر هر گروه (در مجموع شش تیم) مستقیم راهی جام جهانی ۲۰۲۶ خواهند شد.
پلی آف آسیا
در مرحله نهایی انتخابی جام جهانی، تیمهای سوم و چهارم هر گروه (در مجموع شش تیم) در دو گروه سه تیمی با هم دیدار میکنند. در این مرحله، تیمهای اول هر گروه مرحله پلی آف، مستقیم راهی جام جهانی میشوند. تیمهای دوم هر گروه هم به صورت پلی آف به مصاف هم میروند و برنده این بازی، در مسابقه پلی آف بین قارهای به میدان میرود. در مجموع و با احتساب این سهمیه، قاره آسیا دارای ۱+۸ سهمیه در جام جهانی ۲۰۲۶ خواهد بود.
به گزارش خبرنگار مهر، با اعلام AFC، مسابقات مقدماتی جام ملتهای آسیا ۲۰۲۷ از دور اول و دور دوم مقدماتی، به موازات رقابتهای مقدماتی جام جهانی ۲۰۲۶ ادامه خواهد یافت.
* پلی آف مقدماتی جام ملتهای آسیا: ۱۰ تیم بازنده دور اول مقدماتی به صورت رفت و برگشت با هم دیدار میکنند؛ جایی که پنج برنده به دور نهایی مقدماتی جام ملتهای آسیا صعود میکنند.
* مرحله نهایی مقدماتی جام ملتهای آسیا: ۲۴ تیم در مجموع - ۱ تیم بازنده برتر از دور اول مقدماتی، ۱۸ تیم سوم و چهارم از هر گروه دور دوم مقدماتی مشترک و پنج برنده پلیآف مقدماتی جام ملتهای آسیا – به ۶ گروه چهار تیمی تقسیم میشوند که تنها تیم اول هر گروه به جام ملتهای آسیا ۲۰۲۷ راه خواهد یافت.
