Comments: The biggest political statement so far is by the American coach. His t-shirt says "States" not UNITED States which is a very political statement. I also think if Wales loses it's better for us. England will beat USA so if we can beat Wales then the last match will decide who will advance.
Comments: There is no winning for TM or players. At this stage, they can’t do anything that pleases the fans. In all reality, there are no fans. No one is watching the games back home with any love. The fans in stadium are conflicted. The players have zero motivation. This movement is different. I’m not sure why but it is. Majority of the people back home are just not in a mood for anything other than a change in their lives. Football is not doing anything to help distract them.
Comments: For the first time in World Cup history, the opening game ended with a mostly empty stadium. Mostly Qatari fans gave up on their team early and left the stadium.
Comments: Wales is playing very poorly. USA just scored. I cannot decide whether this is good for us or not. If Wales is close, there will be a tabAni for a tie against england in their last game and easy advancing. So, in that sense, I'd like Wales to lose. But then, if they lose, they will do their best against us. So, I am not which is better. I am slightly rooting for the US to win!

Comments: If Binavand can recover by Friday; I am hopeful regarding our chances against Wales. This was expected result, although not with so many goals. This is our worst showing in the World Cup ever. In fact, I do not recall the last time IRAN ever lost with such a high score! As I suspected and posted weeks ago, the unrest in IRAN will most likely have a profound impact on our players; I just was hoping I was mistaken. The behavior of Iran fans in inexcusable. They should just stay home as CQ suggested. They are the ones who should be ashamed of themselves. Their actions only hurt Iran and Iranians. If they cannot see that, then they are more naïve than I thought.
