Comments: I am sorry my friends. This was a horrible showing. Unfortunately, the team succumbed to the political pressures from all sides, particularly from the fans. No one was running! Nearly all, if not all goals were scored with no defender on the attacker. We constantly reacted rather than taking the initiative. Our players were just chasing the ball around. Slow, lack of energy, and all heads down. So, my question for those who were yelling bisharaf to the TM players on all social media are the following: 1. How does this hurt the government? Here is my answer to this question: It doesn't. No one is going to go in front of a bullet because of a bad soccer result. 2. Does this hurt Iran? Of course it does. This record goes into the record books that Iran, not IRI, lost 6-2. So, all you guys have managed to do is just to hurt Iran, the country and yourselves, rather than the government. You have done nothing to the government. Sadly, this result was predictable, and may repeat in the next two games as well.
Comments: Zinsky, If what you are saying is true, it is truly a sad day for IRAN. This is People's team not the Government's team. If people can not see that, than they deserve what they get. I agree with CQ that if Iranian "fans": are coming to the stadium to "Boo" Iran team, then they are really not fans, and it is better that they stay home.
Comments: We all suspected this WC and the situation back home are going to be different. It’s even worse than I expected. Not only people are pissed at the players, they are mad at fans going there.

Comments: Watching the goals again I must say Taremi had the best goal of the match followed by Sterling. The way Taremi broke away from England defender and scored was world class. The keeper was going postal being scored on like that by Taremi, one chance and he got roasted. Taremi will going to EPL after this showing.
Comments: Better second half for TM after CQ admitted his mistake and made adjustment. We only lost 3-2 in the second half. First half was the real disaster. And Taremi is on top of the scoring table with Saka and Valencia. I want a hat trick from him vs Wales and the USA.
