Comments: Thank you Faramarz JAn; it is very kind of you and Zinsky as well. I wanted to add a bit of fun to this tournament for our friends.
Comments: Indeed, this has been a great race to the finish. There is close competition at the top which has made it so interesting. Thank to you guys for a great competition and Shahryar for organizing it. It has taken a lot of his time each day!
Comments: And here are my predictions:
Comments: Below are Amir's predictions:
Comments: The prediction kingdom crown changed hands few times. From Faramarz to Parviz and myself. Dariush took it with a perfect day. I predict it will all end up with a new champion. Who will come from behind and win it all? Overall, this was a great competition.
Comments: This whole separation of sports from politics is all BS. When it suits the west, we are ordered to separate politics from sports, but the entire planet's sports enterprise is hostage to the politics of the west, and this is nothing new. The world had to boycott the Olympics in Russia back in the 80s because they attacked Afghanistan. It all went down hill from there and got to the point of obvious bribery and blackmail. When WC was given to the USA, it was another very obvious case of FIFA corruption. But no one likes to hear that or talk about it. Qatar's, as bad as it was, is all over the news. All BS, IMO.
Comments: On one of my trips, I met some people from Denmark who were actually bitterly complaining about this. She was saying that asylum seekers and migrants from Ukraine were being approved on the spot while applicants from Syria and other middle eastern countries were backlogged for months and years.
Comments: The revolution was over before it got started and now they call you stupid! https://twitter.com/alikarimi_ak8/status/1603365503430545411
Comments: Good for her. That is very true. On the other hand, the west is still not tired of IRI! As soon as they are done with them, it will be over.
Comments: Actress Jessica Chastain claims Ukraine gets more attention than Iran because it's 'mostly White'
Comments: Yes, due to sanctions there is no bank transactions. They (Iran) even tried paying the foreign players and coaches using the money owed by FIFA but the was also denied. Not much to do with sport, it’s about banking regulations.
Comments: Zinsky, Why do you say that IRAN cannot collect the World Cup money? Is it because of sanctions? I thought they were trying to keep the politics out of sports..., but that is a wrong assumption, since they kicked our Russia from the qualification rounds due to their invasion.
Comments: Obviously the coach for Morocco did an excellent job but I criticize him for on one of his decision. That's to play Hakim Ziyech, a left footed player, as a false right winger. That was a mistake, I lost count on how many times he was disabled just because he could not pass the right back from outside and had to cut back inside to use his left foot. Don't do it again coach!
Comments: Shahryar, What do you think will happen before, during and after derby If anything?
Comments: Shahryar, Iran can’t even collect the money!!! How sad is it?
Comments: 2022 World Cup prize money table in fullTeams who went out in the group stage earned $9 million eachQatar, Ecuador, Wales, Iran, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Denmark, Tunisia, Canada, Belgium, Germany, Costa Rica, Serbia, Cameroon, Ghana, Uruguay Teams who reached the Round of 16 earned $13 million eachUSA, Senegal, Australia, Poland, Spain, Japan, Switzerland, South Korea Teams who reached the Quarterfinals earned $17 million eachBrazil, Netherlands, Portugal, England Fourth place team will earn $25 millionThird place team will earn $27 millionRunner-up will earn $30 millionWiner will earn $42 million
Comments: Zinsky, I believe that the days of doing business the same way for the regime is over. They are very single-minded and closed-minded, but not stupid. They are realizing they have to make concessions soon. It is also possible they are hoping these things will blow over soon, as the protests in USA did 10 years ago (1% protests), and for that matter George Floyd ones...
Comments: Tehran derby coming up in a week. I wonder if they let fans in. Will they show up anyway? Will they let ladies in? Are we going to hear “besharf” or revolutionary slogans?
Comments: I’m hoping all 4 teams go for wins. Nothing left after this weekend.
Comments: I have predictions from: - Daryuish - Faramarz - HAMVATAN - Zinsky - Rashti - Arman - Parviz Please provide your "Final" predictions for the contest:
