Comments: I called the Turkish airline and told them I’ll be using the US to Turkey portion. You are correct, they usually don’t like to do that but due to circumstances, they said fine. Of course, if flights assume to Tehran, I need to buy a separate ticket! At this stage, I’m ok with some extra cost. They also mentioned that there are flights to Tehran via Iranair or the other one called Iranair tour. It might or might not be available but flying as of today, apparently!

If you have a connecting flight from Istanbul and that flight is canceled, Turkish airline will cancel your flight from USA. if you had two separate tickets one to Istanbul and one from Istanbul to Tehran then you can fly to Istanbul. Comments: I assume Trump and friends are trying to figure out what would be their best option at this moment. 1- Do nothing. lols of words but no action. Hope it will work itself out! 2- Military action. Hard to determine the extent and how! It could be a coordinated attack on military targets, government officials and other strategic targets. A temporary distraction that could give the citizens more time and confidence to act. 3- Arm the opposition. This could lead to a civil war. It will weaken the regime without direct intervention! Could get very bloody and continue for a long time. 4- Diplomacy. Force/convince the regime to leave on their own with promises to protect them in a 3rd country. 5- something else that be a major surprise but I can’t think of any

Comments: People around the world want normalcy. They want basic needs, basic freedoms and basic human decency. Unfortunately, that is not as easy as it sounds. I have not heard from family or friends back home. I’m concerned about worried. Not much I can do. I’m heading to Turkey in couple of days. If I can fly to Iran, I will. If not, I’ll stay in Istanbul and see how it goes. As I said before, I don’t have a preference on any individual leader. At this stage, I just want the best for my country. Praying for the brave people of Iran doing what they can to better their lives. God help them…
