Comments: There is also a MAshroutiat musem in Tabriz that has some original documents from that era.
Comments: Great history Hamvatan. That mashroutiat movement was the last movement that was not hijacked by a foreign agent. In fact, Mashroutiat's origins started bu Akhunds but was headed to be a religious uprising. If you look at some of those images there are a bunch of Akhunds in there. But Sattar khAn and BAgher KhAn were shrewd and gradually worked the religious movement out and made it all about the constitution and a nationalistic movement. In some ways, you can think of teh '79 movement as the opposite where a national movement was externally directed to become a religious movement. My great uncle was the parchamdAr of Satar khAn and BAgher khAn movement. Lots of internal stories in our family about that time.

Comments: Maghsoud, she says it as is. I never felt forced to learn farsi. I also never felt that I could not speak Azari. All the bullshit that the pan turkists are creating are just that. I have told some of them that if they want to see what they are hallucinating, they should go to Baku. The older retired generation knows Azari and Russian. The younger generation who is now coming into workforce is being taught Azeri. But the middle aged (40-60 year olds) working force which is running most of the work is very shaky on Azari and still speak russian in work place and for business. The same is true for Georgia and many other former soviet republics. This is where you can clearly see that the locals were prohibited from speaking their native language. They were forced to make all conversations in russian which went as far as penetrating home-conversations as well. That is what the pan futurists are hallucinating about. No such thing in Iran. Azerbaijan has always been part of Iran and retained its language without any issues and will continue to do so no matter who rules the country. She is on the money.

Comments: That was my impression as well. This team is very good in keeping the ball. Much better than TM. But scoring is another story!
Comments: Another Mashrooteh participant: Sardar Bibi Maryam was one of the foremost women's rights activists and pioneers of freedom movements in the constitutional movement in Iran. Because of her lifestyle, Bibi Maryam was skilled in shooting techniques and craftsmanship.
Comments: This American's story is very interesting, He was martyred for Mashrooteh,

Comments: Lors, Kurds, Azeris, Ghashghaies and Baloochis all have guns. They have always had it as part of their culture. IRI must beware when they decide to take up arms. In fact, some of these groups along with Sattar Khan took over Tehran to make Mashrooteh happen. By the way, my grand father housed and fed these forces when they came to Tehran and went bankrupt afterwards!
Comments: Zinsky, you asked me if I was in Iran at the time of revolution. I was not. I came to US in 1977. But I was misled like many hoping for a better Iran and was a supporter of the revolution from afar. I was not politically involved with any movement or groups. In late 1979, I decided to attend UCLA Iranian political gathering and right then I saw the mistake of the movement and became anti-IRI. The whole meeting was about smearing others, eliminating different ideologies and labeling anybody they did not like as spies. That was the last meeting I attended. I see the same type of attitude from Shahollahis. I think once IRI is overthrown the streets in in Iran will reject Monarchy or any one-man rule (فرد محور). They know that it will lead to corruption and power grabbing no matter how good the person is (or says) at the beginning. Remember that there are a lot of internal opposition with clout in prisons that can voice their thoughts once freed that can alter the course. US and Israel would of course want their RP puppet in there and will do everything in their power.

Comments: Another 0-0 tie for the U23 team today. They sure can play keep the ball better than any national Iran team but you don't get any points for it. I hope they don't lose to LEB and finish last in the group ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1iecE3iVh0
Comments: The Trump administration is reportedly preparing preliminary plans for an attack on Iran, including the option of large-scale airstrikes. Officials are considering how to follow through on President Trump’s recent elevated threats against the Islamic Republic, including what sites might be targeted, insiders told the Wall Street Journal. A massive aerial strike campaign on multiple Iranian military targets is one option being considered — although Washington has not reached consensus on a plan of action.
Comments: It seems option of arming the protesters is the one being used! Armed protesters clashed Friday with security forces in the Tehranpars neighborhood of Iran’s capital, as nationwide two-week-long anti-regime demonstrations became more violent in the country. Repeated gunfire could be heard for minutes in cellphone video sent to Iranian TV and shared with Fox News Digital as Iran’s State Security Forces clashed with so-called "rebellious youth." In the video, people on the streets were seen running and shouts of "Death to Khamenei!" "Death to the dictator!" "Shame on you!" and "We are all together!" could be heard. The protests entered their 14th day on Saturday, with 65 killed, including children, and 2,311 arrested by Friday, according to the Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran. Authorities imposed a sweeping internet blackout this week that largely cut the country off from the outside world and escalated threats of harsh punishment while anti-regime protests spread.
