This is a game-changer for Plan-B connectivity for protesters and anti-regime activists when domestic internet plugs are pulled. “Despite reports that tens of thousands of Starlink units are operating inside Iran,” Iran Wire reports, “the blackout has also reached satellite connections.” It is reported that about 30 per cent of Starlink’s uplink and downlink traffic was (initially) disrupted," quickly rising “to more than 80 per cent” within hours.
Comments: Little information coming from Iran is dire. I have seen anywhere from few hundred to few thousand deaths. Massive number of injuries and arrests. In addition to internal, cell phones and landlines are spotty at best. People can’t even talk to each other inside Iran. I suppose we are going back to old days of flyers or signs on walls to keep people aware of the next gathering. It seems US/Israel would act in coming days. The extent and locations are unknown, of course.

You are correct Mashrooteh was directed towards a nationalist movement by Azeri and Bakhtiari contingents and that is why IRI celebrates Sheikh Fazlolah Noori (anti-Mashrooteh who was executed) as a hero and martyr. IRI is the exact opposite of Nationalistic Mashrooteh movement. |
