Comments: Q8 kinda acknowledged it as they were launching attacks against IR towards the end n IR just took out their launchers outright
Comments: They used it to hit Q8
Comments: I knew about Saeghe. It looks like a modern production of an F-5 tiger. Here are the two side by side ![]() ![]() Looks like Iran started mass production in 2015. The biggest visible difference seems to be a double tail on Saeghe for greater maneuverability and smaller radar cross section. The use of an F-5 in this campaign is not something I knew! I wonder if they mean an actual F-5, or do they mean a Saeghe? And actual F-5 would be really old. At least 60 years old! So, Iran has an air force?
Comments: I did not know this! The HESA Saeqeh (Persian: صاعقه Sâ'eğe, "Thunderbolt"), alternatively spelled Sa'eqeh; Saegheh, or Saeqeh-80, is an Iranian-built single-seat jet fighter, derived from the American Northrop F-5. A joint product of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force and the Iranian Ministry of Defence, it is the second generation of the Iranian Azarakhsh fighter. Saeqeh aircraft were tested successfully in Iran 20 September 2007.
Comments: Iran caused more extensive damage to U.S. military bases than publicly known U.S. bases and equipment across the Middle East came under attack — including from an Iranian F-5, despite American air defenses — and repairs could cost billions of dollars. American military bases and other equipment in the Persian Gulf region suffered extensive damage from Iranian strikes that is far worse than publicly acknowledged

Comments: As of April 2026, Turkey announced a major incentive offering a 20-year tax exemption on foreign-source income for individuals moving to Turkey who have not been tax residents there in the past three years. This initiative aims to attract foreign talent, wealth, and digital nomads, featuring low inheritance tax (1%) and tax breaks for repatriating foreign
Comments: The fact that Araghchi is not even bothering to talk to the Americans is huge. It may mean that Iran finds USA as no longer relevant now. They may feel that if Oman, Pakistan, Russia, and probably China are good with the regime that IRI installs in the strait of Iran, they can implement the passage rules regardless of what US thinks. Now with the US Navy in the Sea of Oman, why would Iran feel US is irrelevant. I can think of at least two reasons: 1. Iran believes that US will not start another war and start quietly move away and leave the strait alone. 2. US will restart the war and Iran will come out even stronger with the GCC states' infrastructure gone for years. In this scenario some may even collapse. Why do they not consider the possibility of US staying, one might ask. They probably have calculated that this is a far less likely possibility and confident in their ability to chase the Americans away.
Comments: Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says he's presented Tehran's "views and considerations" on ending the war during a meeting with the head of Pakistan's armed forces in Islamabad He appears to have come to the Pakistani capital with a comprehensive proposal to pass to Pakistan, BBC Persian's Jiyar Gol writes from Islamabad Yesterday the White House said US special envoy Steve Witkoff and Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner would also head to Pakistan for Iran talks on Saturday - there's been no word on whether they've left Iranian officials tell the BBC that a meeting with the US is not on Araghchi's agenda Over the past week, US officials have repeatedly downplayed suggestions that they feel pressure to wrap the war up quickly Meanwhile, the Israeli military and Hezbollah have continued trading fire, with both sides accusing each other of violating a recently extended ceasefire
Comments: https://youtu.be/32r_NeAl3fg This is so bizarre. ArAghchi is not even going to Pakistan to talk to the US delegation. His post says bilateral discussions with Pakistan before heading to Oman. Trump is sending the construction contractors anyway in the hope of a talk! WTF Also the bit about RPG is really interesting. He says he is being censored by European media and so, he is speaking to the European people. How delusional is this. How many europeans tune in to listen to RPG!!!????
Comments: Italian sports and government officials have firmly rejected a proposal for Italy to replace Iran in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, calling the suggestion "not appropriate" and "shameful". Although Italy is the highest-ranked team to miss qualification, officials insist that a spot in the tournament must be earned through performance on the field
Comments: US should use firing squads, electrocution as execution methods, Justice Department says
Comments: It became very clear, very early that this war will be test of patience and endurance. Who can outlast the other side (s). So far Iran seems to position itself to drag this out as long as necessary. U.S. might not have that much time (domestically and internationally)! From March 15 to April 14, it exported 55.22 million barrels of oil. The price per barrel of Iranian oil – across its three major variants, known as Iranian light, Iranian heavy and Forozan blend – has not fallen below $90 per barrel over the past month. On many days, the price has surpassed $100 a barrel. Even at the conservative estimate of $90 a barrel, Iran has earned at least $4.97bn over the past month from its ongoing oil exports. By contrast, in early February before the war started, Iran was earning about $115m a day from its crude oil exports, or $3.45bn in a month. Simply put, Iran has earned 40 percent more from oil exports in the past month than it did before the war. Stopping this is a key motivation behind the US naval blockade of Iranian ports. In an interview with Al Jazeera on April 14, Frederic Schneider, a nonresident senior fellow at the Middle East Council on Global Affairs, said that the previous six weeks had been a boon for Iran in terms of oil revenues, but with the US blockade, that will change. “Iran has some buffer in the form of crude oil reserves in floating tanks – basically parked tankers – which was estimated at about 127 million barrels in February. But that doesn’t mean that the blockade wouldn’t hurt Iran,” he said.
