Comments: Vali Nasr, who used to be a neighbor in San Diego when we lived there, has moved to DC area since. I’m not going to discuss his politics or personality but he was asked at the beginning of the war, how he sees this. This was about a week or so after U.S. and Israel attacked Iran at the end of February. The interview was about an hour long but the part that struck with me was his basic premise that IRGC will take charge of the country. They won’t report to anyone. He also mentioned that this war for them is the last war they are willing to fight. They will not care for casualties, damages or the short term economical cost. They will drag this war for as long as it takes to insure this will not happen again. So far, he seems to be spot on!

Comments: Finally, you heard it here for the first time: 1. Iran's Security Council has categorically rejected Trump's final offer. 2. Iran has made the decision to exclusively work with the Chinese banking system and abandon the crypto/american system. 3. Iran will no longer accept crypto currency, Russian currency, or Chinese currency for its oil. From now on, it will only accept Iranian Rial for its oil. This one is a big one. As soon as it is announced, expect $ to crash in Iran.
Comments: I also see that we are looking at high chances that we are looking at the end of the House of Saud. I heard rumors that Iran is trying to calm the Houthis down but I am not sure the effort is full hearted or will be successful. Houthis are fiercely independent.
Comments: So, I think when he says "I will end it after the elections", he is only trying to fool the Israelis so they do not do anything to hurt him in midterm elections, rather than threatening Iran that he will restart the war.
Comments: Assuming that IRGC does not start anything. After the elections, here is how I see the consequences of the two possibilities: Trump starts another round of war: 1. Economic crisis becomes much much worse (possibly leading to the collapse of Saudi Arabia and other arab gas stations) 2. Republican loss in popularity accelerates. Trump may not care but they will. 3. Republicans join the Democrats to impeach Trump making him the first even to be impeached out of office. 4. Depending on the severity of the attacks, Israel could fall and that will have its own shit show Trump does nothing (or does a single one time attack) and steps away from the war declaring victory: 1. YAboo will be pissed at him 2. They may release the Epstein files 3. May even threaten him with other political consequences which will not mean much for him since he will get to finish his term and then disappear. He is in a shit show either way but I think he will choose Door #1. An indication for this is that he is planning to have only one aircraft carrier after the elections there. He already has withdrawn one and we only have one in the Indian Ocean. The other one is on its way to San Diego and already made it to Thailand. The third one on its way is intended to replace the existing one. I think he is planning to pull one final major TACO.
