Comments: Faramarz, I think the coffee is still in your system 😜 On bed bugs, I don’t know what to tell you. Luckily, I haven’t had that problem in the past. On the other hand, both my kids dealt with head lice when in elementary and middle school. That was a nightmare. The bugs are getting stronger and the basic shampoo doesn’t do much. They had to be removed one by one using special tools! Some lady became rich charging $200/kid/visit to remove them all. U17 was disappointing but not surprising. They did surprise Brazil but after that, they were just doing ok. I actually thought they can move to the next round when the game was past 90th minute but that is soccer! TM did well the first half and reeed the second half. I don’t know why? It seems they were just trying to end the game. No motivation to score more, which they probably could. On examination of the teams in WC, I don’t think it’s any different than before. Some countries will be happy to “make” it but that is more like friendly games before the WC. I’m ok with playing some decent teams in the meantime.
Comments: One more.  On the WC quota, I may be an odd ball, but I do not like the WC expansion at all. IMO it brings its quality down and is only for bringing more money to FIFA. I think I have said this before, I was actually in favor of reducing Asia's 5.5 down to 3.5 but now with Japan and Korea consistently doing so well, I am okay with staying at 4. Iran and Australia have also been fairly decent in the last three cups. North and central America should have 1 or 1.5 spots. Only Mexico is good. The rest is trash. USA some times is okay, but that is some times only. If Iran with all its bisharaf issues were not in their group, they would have ended up fourth in most groups last time. They would not even qualify out of Asia. This includes the USA. They would not survive playing against the grass eating arabs and their money buying FIFA. All in all, I think this is the USA and arab money that is driving the FIFA expansion of the WC. FIFA also does not mind it as it thinks it will get more money out of more games.
Comments: Sorry for spamming, but haven't had the chance to post much and there are some interesting topics. :) On Brazil and Argentina game: I think both of these teams are trash right now and not championship quality. Brazil is 6th in conmebol and everyone thinks they will not qualify. But this is Brazil and there are still 12 games left. My money is on Brazil qualifying. As for how conmebol will do in the WC, other than Brazil I do not see any of them getting close to the cup. There is a possibility that Brazil could get much better. But that possibility is small. Unless things drastically change, this WC's top contendors will be France and Spain. They are right now at a different level than the rest.
Comments: Honestly, I was very surprised to see such bad results for both teams. I was more surprised about the U17 team. But then again at that level, there are greater emotional variability and lack of maturity that plays a role. I have not even seen the highlights but losing the PKs after taking in such a late goal for a 17 year old is not that surprising. I think Brazil will take the cup. I saw them as a very strong team. Barring any emotional roller coaster, I expect them to do very well. The lesson that Iran taught them will help them in the rest of the way. For GN's team what can I say. I agree with Rashti that this is just the beginning and it will get even worse. The problem is that given the inept IFF, I expect nothing to be done about him until it is too late. The talent of the players combined with how easy it is to now qualify, will carry an incompetent coach with this team into the WC. There, we will have three quick losses and out. The sad part is that in that process when we get there, we will not see any of the hojoomi game that GN is talking about. We will see three clumsy defensive games.

Comments: Good morning Zinsky jAn. We had to go through an interesting protocol to avoid the hitchhikers. We each brought a bunch of plastic bags and put all of our cloths in them. Then we got these special very large plastic bags to fit the whole suitcase in. Yes, they do make those. :) Then the protocol was that when you get into your room, suitcase goes into the bathroom and never comes out the whole stay. After doing that, you strip the bed of the covers and sheets and inspect carefully. If you find anything, you change hotel. Otherwise, you stay, but remain vigilant the whole trip. at night, you keep the room as cold as possible (we left the windows open which was an interesting experience sleeping in low 50's to high 40's temperature. And, my favorite, you leave the lights on while asleep. :) Enough to say that we had a whole lot of coffee during the days. The schedule was pretty rough from 7am to 9pm every day, but no body complained. No one wanted to go back to the hotel. :) At the end of it all, it is kind of scary to find out that the Paris bedbug issues are nothing compared to some American cities, especially NYC. ![[rofl]](https://cdn.websitetoolbox.com/images/boards/smilies/rofl.gif "Rofl - :lol:") Finally, after getting home, all my cloths are in the freezer for 72 hours, then they will be hot washed twice. And, on top of all that BA flight turned out to be a three hour wait on the runway, perfect for covid, and then they lost my luggage. From business point of view though, it was a uniquely successful trip. We established collaborations across the globe that I think will last a long time and hopefully do some good.

چرخش ۱۸۰ درجهای بازی برای میزبان نیمه دوم این بازی با تغییر هافبک تهاجمی ازبکستان همراه بود تا فیض اله اف جانشین ماشاریپوف شود و نبض بازی را در این نیمه در اختیار بگیرد. ازبک ها در نیمه دوم بازی کاملا هجومی را با اصرار به نفوذ از کنارهها در دستور کار قرار دادند. مدافعان تیم ملی ایران بر خلاف نیمه اول نبردهای تن به تن را بارها باختند تا محمدحسین کنعانی زادگان در یکی از این جدالها چارهای جز خطای واضح روی حریف و گرفتن کارت زرد نداشته باشد. او چهار بار دیگر در مصاف با مهاجمان ازبکستان دریبل خورد تا همچون شجاع خلیل زاده، رامین رضائیان و میلاد محمدی بازی نامطلوبی داشته باشند. سراسیمگی هافبکهای میانی تیم ملی ایران باعث شد تا فشار زیادی روی دروازه بیرانوند ایجاد شود. اشتباه علی کریمی در دفع توپ شمورودوف کافی بود تا توپ به اورونوف رسیده و این بازیکن در مصاف تک به تک با گلر ایران قرار گرفته و گل نخست ازبکستان را بزند.
حاشیههای بی فایده به سود کاتانچ! پس از کم شدن تفاضل گل دو تیم بازی فیزیکی بیش از پیش شد تا نهایتا تبدیل به درگیری لفظی بازیکنان و نیمکتنشینان دو تیم شود. رامین رضائیان در جدال با شوکوروف درگیری فیزیکی پیدا کرد تا توقف چند دقیقهای بازی را به همراه داشته باشد. همین موضوع نیز با اعتراض کاتانچ همراه بود. سرمربی تیم ملی ازبکستان در همین دقایق تصمیم به ایجاد تغییرات متوالی گرفت تا سرگی اف وارد زمین شود. ورود او همزمان با سانتر اورونوف شد تا روی اشتباه مدافعان در جاگیری بتواند گل تساوی را برای ازبکستان به ثمر برساند. پس از این گل باز هم ازبک ها کنترل توپ را در اختیار داشتند تا عملکرد متفاوت آنها نسبت به نیمه اول هواداران ازبکی حاضر در ورزشگاه را امیدوار به پیروزی کند اما تلاشهایشان دیگر گلی به همراه نداشت تا تقسیم امتیاز نصیب ایران و ازبکستان شود.
