It seems they get together every now and then and come up with new rules!
Used to be simple! It touches your hand, it’s hand! Either way, this is the rule now till they change it again in few years.

به گزارش خبرنگار مهر، تیم ملی فوتبال ایران در شرایطی برابر ازبکستان به تساوی بدون گل رسید که داور استرالیایی در دقایق ابتدایی وقت اضافه برخورد توپ به دست بازیکن ازبکستان درون محوطه جریمه را پنالتی اعلام کرد اما بعد از بازبینی تصاویر این تصمیم را رد و ادامه بازی داد.
سیدمهدی سیدعلی کارشناس داوری در گفت و گو با خبرنگار مهر در توضیح این تصمیم داور استرالیایی گفت: براساس تغییرات قوانین(اصلاحیه ۲۰۲۴) که توسط فیفا به داوران ابلاغ شده است هر توپی که از زمین، یار همدسته یا بازیکن حریف به طور ناگهانی به دست بازیکن برخورد کند و تغییر جهت محسوس داشته باشد حتی در صورتی که دست در حالت غیرطبیعی باشد هند نیست.
وی ادامه داد: با توجه به اصلاحیه مذکور تصمیم نهایی داور مبنی بر ابطال پنالتی اعلام شده صحیح می باشد.

Shahryar jAn, I noticed the same thing. 2 goals in three games really sucks considering the level of our opponents.

I think the scenario you described is exactly what will happen. At the 11th hour they will hire a foreign coach who will have no chance of doing anything. We will have no serious preparation camp or friendlies and use the WC games as the friendlies for the team and say an embarrassing early good bye. :)

The biggest contribution that CQ had to the team, IMO, was not his organization and defensive play. It was his long-streched recruitment effort to find players all over europe convince them to join TM and built the best team that we could. Any decent coach will want to do this and this will take at least a year. It needs to start now.

In regards to TM's performance today, I cannot comment since I did not see it. But the result by itself is a poor indication. If we cannot defeat these second rated teams in Asia and score goals against them (2 goals in 3 games!), we have zero chance of doing anything good at the World Cup. 

This coach simply does not have what it takes to lead in the World stage. I believe everyone knows this. Iran FF is not addressing this issue, at least not yet. But we need someone like CQ (if not him) soon, and I mean now. We cannot wait until the last minute after we qualify to bring a good coach on board. He needs time to work with the players. 

And the final note, I believe we will qualify for the World Cup, barring any disaster (major war or casualties of our players, for example). It is just we are going to fail miserably in that World stage, worse than ever!!!

Watched the game on and off. Missed the penalty that was ruled out. Overall, not a good game. No surprises!

This really sucks. I am equally concerned about us qualifying. Is Ghandali going to lead this team in the WC with AfAzeli as his strategist?
