Comments: This explains why teams after 2 loses are eliminated! FIFA is using head-to-head records instead of goal difference as the primary tiebreaker for teams level on points for the first time at a World Cup. Haiti, Turkiye and Tunisia have been eliminated because they are unable to catch the third-placed teams in their respective groups, as they lost to those teams.
Comments: I’ve been saying this for a long time! They need to change the offside rules. Partial body part being offside is kind of unfair. If the player is fully in offside position, it would make sense. Sort of like the ball has to completely crosses the line, not partially! I can’t be sure but I read that another defender (not the one they used for VAR) was actually in the position to void the offside! Did you guys notice that? I personally didn’t and going back and looking at the game, I couldn’t see it clearly. Either way, that was a great set up and execution of the set piece.
Comments: Iran tried very hard to get Dennis Dargahi for TM. Why don’t we use him in the WC? It’s not like he is the future of TM. He is already 29 years old. He could be a good sub for the midfield.
