Good morning Tehran.
I will try to go see it but there are so many things I want to do while here.
Prices have almost doubled and some even more since last year. People are still out shopping but I’m not sure how.
Sangak is 25,000 toman. That is the government subsidize price. There are private ones at 50,000.
There is no shortage of stuff but very expensive for locals.
I had Ab-Anar yesterday. Man, it was so refreshing. Love the food but even more, love the juice and snacks.

lol I remember going to see these paintings when I was 16. The Picasso exhibit had just opened. I love it that the paintings are still there. The museum itself is also an interesting building worth seeing.

Zinksy if you have the time and interest make sure you visit the Tehran's Musem of Contemporary Art and their new Picasso exhibition. These works have not been seen in public for a long time. It opened a couple of days ago!

Yes, there is quite a bit of fear these days on all university campuses. Not just for this specific topic but where this is going to go after this forbidden step has been taken. Censorship and intimidation is supposed to be illegal. doing that on college campuses is at a whole other level. This reminds me of Iran before '79, and then later when university crackdowns happened after the revolution. So, all in all very scary signs coming out of the beacon of democracy.

Faramarz have you seen this:

Columbia students who occupied Hamilton Hall in pro-Palestinian protest expelled, suspended

Columbia University said students who occupied the campus' Hamilton Hall during pro-Palestinian protests last spring have been expelled, suspended for several years or had their degrees temporarily revoked.

The sanctions were issued by the Columbia University Judicial Board on Thursday, the school said.

"The outcomes issued by the UJB are based on its evaluation of the severity of behaviors at these events and prior disciplinary actions," the university said in a statement sent to the school community. "These outcomes are the result of following the thorough and rigorous processes laid out in the Rules of University Conduct in our statutes, which include investigations, hearings and deliberations."

I think we will see a bounce tomorrow but overall, we could see another 2-3% next week.

Farid jAn, censorship here is nothing new. Major media all uniformely implement that. This is especially true with respect to Israel. This is nothing specific to Trump or Republicans. Democrats are just as guilty. It is just that now they are doing it much more openly. That is combination with Israeli war crimes and genocide makes it much harder to ignore so that those (at least the honest ones) who touted the american democracy and freedom of speech can see where the merits lie.
