Comments: Zinsky jAn, I see this as a much bigger problem and one that goes well beyond Iran. That is what is scaring me. For decades now, the status quo as you describe it, has done many things that are clearly not in American interests. This whole thing with Iran is a small piece of it. But for decades we have caused wars, interfered with natural democratic processes, assassinated, installed dictators, and much more, all over the world. All of this only for the sake of a few to become richer: military industrial complex, energy industry, etc. Now trump is representing an epic point of inflection in global politics that takes the existing volatile global environment against the united states to a whole new level. I fear the end of this may be inevitably one of two possibilities: 1. Demise of American economic power. I see political will to do this everywhere, including in Europe among America's strongest allies, or 2. A global war to prevent the american economic meltdown. I fear that both are becoming quite probable. What happens to Iran in this mess will only be a small part of this.  I hate alarmists, but I fear that the current situation does not leave much room for anything else.

Comments: Faramarz, We NEED to accept that USA will spend as much money as Israel asked them to spend to keep them alive. This has nothing to do with Trump or the next or the next … president. Fighting Israel is not going to get anywhere. Most, if not all Arab nations accepted that and moved on. IRI is the only one still yelling and screaming which means more money spent and more people die. Both U.S. and Iran population are sick of this but the game must go on. I’m scared shitless for the next round of attacks. Sure, Iran can cause some damage but the hurt inside Iran will be much worse. Average Iranian can’t live a semi fucking normal life.

Comments: Zinsky, I believe Trump realized that Israel could not last much longer in the war. So, through a fake bombing, and a negotiated retaliation to the US base in Qatar with IRI, he announced an end to hostilities. Bibi is now here today for two reasons: 1. To convince Trump to allocate billions more to Israel to replenish what is now devastated/wasted 2. Convince Trump to get into the war so Bibi does not have to look bad. I think he will be successful on both accounts. If not, expect another 911 type of shit to happen again with a blame on Iran this time.
Comments: Well, unfortunately, he is as predictable as they can be. Some time between this week, after some tough talk that it is Wednesday or high tariffs, he will see that not much came in and so, will announce a pause until August. This may be the trend for the next 3.5 years. He needs a lot of distraction to cover his repeated failures. Get used to it. But looking ahead, the last two years will be easier for him. Because he will lose the congress to democrats and will blame the lame ducks for all his failures. There may not be a need for havoc as much.
Comments: MF says Wednesday is the deadline for the letters but he also says deadline might get extended to August. If you want to get a deal from other countries this is the worst strategy. Obviously he is not interested in a deal. He knows he wont get a "deal". He just is causing distraction through havoc. 😖
