Comments: it is clear now that the "west"does not want a strong and independent Iran. The nuclear issue and all the other issues are just an excuse to slowdown Iran. The economic pressure failed and they have now tried the direct military intervention and that appears to have failed. And this is not because Iran is playing smart or having tremendous power, it's mainly because the "west" is on the decline and they can not stop their downward spiral. Comments: I never understood the secondary deal that was tore by Trump! I never supported this regime (I was told I did but) and would love to see a free and democratic Iran but come on! IRI was complying with the deal until it was scrapped. They still let inspections to take place but then got bombed with the biggest/basest bombs they have (other than nukes, of course) and being told that they need to play nice! It just doesn’t make sense! Sweeping UN economic and military sanctions have been reimposed on Iran - 10 years after they were lifted in a landmark international deal over its nuclear programme. The new measures took effect as the three European partners to the deal - the UK, France and Germany - activated the so-called "snapback" mechanism, accusing Iran of "continued nuclear escalation" and lack of co-operation. Iran suspended inspections of its nuclear facilities - a legal obligation under the terms of the 2015 deal - after Israel and the US bombed several of its nuclear sites and military bases in June. Its President Masoud Pezeshkian insisted last week that the country had no intention of developing nuclear weapons.

Comments: UN is a joke as long as it remains at the mercy of superpowers. The whole business of veto is also a joke, and the fact that UN has no executive branch makes the whole thing irrelevant.
