I like the Chris Hedges report. It is very credible and always have guests that are also very good. In this episode he talks to Trita Parsi whom I used to think is paid by IRI based on what (I now know) Shahollahis were saying. Now I see that it was just another smearing and character assassination tactics. He is highly educated and very well spoken. The only think that he does not do is that he does not blindly support Israel's agenda which is probably why Shaholahis targeted him.

In this episode, e analyses the situation very well.

Unidentified, sophisticated drones flying over a handful of U.S. military bases could be a warning sign from China, Gordon Chang warned Monday, suggesting Beijing could target the American homeland if the U.S. becomes more involved in its conflict with Iran.
"The important point here is that we have had, last month, over four of our important military bases, foreign drones. These drones were large, they were un-hackable, they obviously were not recreational, so some foreign power — probably China, maybe Russia — was operating drones over our critical air force bases," Chang said on "Mornings with Maria."
"Really, right now, the United States needs to be able to defend its bases in the homeland because those drone flights were a warning to the United States of some sort," he continued.
"China is supporting Russia in Ukraine, and China is supporting Russia in other matters as well… So they have a durable partnership, and anything that helps one of them is going to generally help the other, with the exception of the matter that you just raised," he said, referring to the tension between higher oil prices benefiting Russia while raising costs for China.
"Generally speaking, the United States now faces a very powerful combination, and we shouldn’t be doing anything that fuels that combination," he added.

Here's the latest
• Trump’s deadline looms: US President Donald Trump said Iran could be “taken out in one night,” which “might” be Tuesday — a deadline he set for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. He wouldn’t say whether the war is winding down, calling it a “critical period” that depends on Iran’s actions.
• Attacks on infrastructure: Trump reiterated threats to hit all of Iran’s bridges and power plants, claiming the Iranian people would be “willing to suffer” if it eventually secured their freedom. Tehran warned the consequences of such attacks will stretch beyond the region.
• Rejected ceasefire proposal: Trump earlier today called a proposal drafted by countries working to implement 45-day ceasefire a “significant step” but “not good enough.” Iran rejected the proposal and called for a permanent end to the war, according to Iranian state-run media.

This is funny as hell:

Trump claims US attempted to send guns to Iranian factions

US President Donald Trump said Washington attempted to arm certain groups in Iran to fight back against the government.

Trump made the comments while speaking to reporters at a White House Easter event but provided minimal details. He did not clarify a timeframe, including under which president the purported weapons transfers took place.

"We sent guns, a lot of guns, they were supposed to go to the people so they could fight back against these thugs," Trump claimed while speaking to reporters.

"You know what happened? The people that they sent them to kept them."

He added: "So I'm very upset with a certain group of people, and they're going to pay a big price for that."

Trump reiterated his belief that the Iranian people would "fight back" against the Islamic Republic authorities if they could obtain guns.

Major developments we’re following:

  • U.S. President Donald Trump said Monday that he’s “not at all” concerned about committing possible war crimes as he continued to threaten the destruction of Iran’s bridges and power plants if they don’t meet his Tuesday 8 p.m. ET deadline to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Speaking to reporters at the White House, the president refused to say whether any civilian targets would be off-limits.
  • Iran on Monday rejected a 45-day ceasefire proposal and said it wants a permanent end to the war. Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency said Tehran conveyed its response through Pakistan, a key mediator. “We only accept an end of the war with guarantees that we won’t be attacked again,” Mojtaba Ferdousi Pour, head of the Iranian diplomatic mission in Cairo, told the AP on Monday.
  • Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said Monday that Israel attacked the South Pars petrochemical plant at Asaluyeh in Iran. He made the announcement after Iran said the facility had been attacked. An Israeli attack on South Pars facilities in March sparked major Iranian attacks targeting oil and gas infrastructure across the Gulf Arab states.
  • The head of intelligence for Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard, Maj. Gen. Majid Khademi, was killed, according to Iranian state media. Israel claimed it was responsible for the killing Monday. Israel’s military said it also killed the leader of the Iranian paramilitary Revolutionary Guard’s undercover unit in its expeditionary Quds Force, Asghar Bakeri.
  • Israel and the United States carried out a wave of attacks on Iran on Monday, killing more than 25 people. Iran responded with missile fire on Israel and its Gulf Arab neighbors.

Iran war live: Tehran says response to ceasefire proposals formulated

  • Iran says it has formulated its response to ceasefire proposals presented by intermediaries and will not engage in direct talks while the US and Israel escalate attacks.
  • US-Israeli attacks across Iran have killed at least 34 people, including at least six children.

GCC countries on edge as US-Israel actions spark Iran’s retaliation across the region

Economically there has been major impacts from everything the US and Israel have done, from launching this war to escalating.

It has found its way to the GCC countries because Iran’s strategy is to retaliate against what it has described consistently as US and Israeli assets and interests in the region.

The UAE earlier today said there were 12 ballistic missiles and two cruise missile attacks as well as 19 drones. Officials here are saying the same thing over and over again. They want Iran to be held to account and for the fighting to come to a close.

The only way out of this fight is through consistent dialogue, not consistent attacks. But so far, all we’re seeing is more retaliation.

What happened at the South Pars field facilities today, no doubt that GCC leaders are very seriously making sure their defence apparatus is on high alert and worried about retaliation once again coming to their doors.

What to know about the Iran war today:
A diplomatic effort is underway to avoid a major escalation in the Iran war, with President Trump considering a Pakistani proposal for a 45-day ceasefire to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, among other ideas. Hanging over the effort is President Trump's profanity-laced threat to destroy Iran's power plants and other civilian infrastructure if Tehran doesn't make a deal by Tuesday evening.
Mr. Trump is scheduled to speak Monday afternoon about the U.S. operation that rescued the second member of an F-15 crew after the fighter jet was shot down in Iran Friday.
U.S.-Israeli strikes continue, with the intelligence chief of Iran's powerful Revolutionary Guards Corps among dozens killed on Monday. Israel and America's Persian Gulf allies are bearing the brunt of Tehran's retaliatory fire. Four people were killed by an Iranian missile attack in Israel, the military confirmed Monday.
