Comments: Unbelievable how these Republican law makers can swing so fast from love to hate. Cult mentality at its best... House Republicans' longstanding frustrations with Elon Musk are spilling out in an unprecedented way behind closed doors after he criticized them for supporting President Trump's "One Big, Beautiful Bill." "He's a complete joke. He had no idea what the f*** he was doing, whatsoever," said one House Republican, speaking on the condition of anonymity to avoid retaliation from the billionaire Tesla owner.
Comments: Who's your daddy??? UN Security Council FAILS TO ADOPT draft resolution that would have demanded an immediate, unconditional and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, and the release of all hostages held by Hamas and other groups Voting results In favor: 14 Against: 1 (US)
Comments: Zinsky damet garm. I was searching where we can watch the match!
Comments: What a disastrous place this administration has put this country into. The art of the deal, got us into economic war with countries that we depend on. Canada, just hit us with a huge tariff that is sure going to make everything that has steel in it more expensive. Cars are estimated to cost 13.7% more just as a result of the candian steel tariff. Car purchases are one of the most important gauges of the economy. With China, after slapping tariffs, canceling it, slapping it on again, and canceling it, the US administration has been working for three weeks to start a dialogue with them. Although the Chinese finally agreed to the begging, you can imagine how Trump's call yesterday went. With Iran, Trump is personally involved in guiding the negotiations while KhAmenei is sitting mostly on the sidelines. It is not hard to see who is desperate for a deal. Trump in the background promises that Iran can enrich for peaceful purposes while in public says no enrichment. Iran's stance is clear: we will enrich. KhAmenei just jumped in to make that clear. To sum it up, US of A is now on a begging campaign to set up some deal for the personal glorification of its president. This begging, is sure to put US in a much worse place than where it was before this presidency, if not for anything else, at least because US has such a weak position in all these negotiations. Begging with Canada and Mexico will be next.
Comments: When it comes to Trump’s decisions, the motive is not always clear. We all know he is after his own interests but some of the decisions just don’t make sense. His fight with universities is one of those that I don’t get. It could be just personal. It might be revenge or something like that. I can’t tell. The tariffs announcements and then pulling back is pure market manipulation. His immigration policies are just to please the whites. His tax policies are for the ultra wealthy. This fight against Universities and overall higher education and research is one that I need to understand.

Comments: Trump bans citizens of 12 countries from entering the U.S.
Comments: Hamvatan what is happening is such a shit show. He is doing China's bidding for them! They are gutting everything. Research and development is at the heart of america's advances in everything and they have brought it to complete halt. At least Canada, France, India, and China have oppened up special immigration paths for american scientists. Many are fleeing from the instability to very lucrative offers.
Comments: BREAKING: Canada Just Hit Back—Hard Ontario Premier Doug Ford just dropped a $30 billion hammer on Trump’s economy. In direct response to Trump’s asinine decision to double U.S. tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum, Ford announced Ontario will onshore all U.S. imports, slamming the door on American metal. This is a seismic shift. Canada is the U.S.'s #1 supplier of steel and aluminum—and now they’re cutting us out. Why? Because Trump thinks trade policy is a dick-measuring contest instead of a strategic alliance. Ford called it an “economic war,” and he’s not wrong. Ontario’s move will gut American exports, disrupt North American supply chains, jack up prices for U.S. consumers, and risk $15 billion in new costs—all while U.S. manufacturers scream bloody murder about rising input prices. Trump tried to look tough. Instead, he knee-capped his own damn economy, alienated our closest ally, and handed China more leverage in the global market. Again. This isn’t leadership—it’s economic vandalism wrapped in nationalist cosplay.
Comments: Will the rescissions make a dent in the national debt?
The request to Congress is unlikely to meaningfully change the troublesome increase in the U.S. national debt. Tax revenues have been insufficient to cover the growing costs of Social Security, Medicare and other programs. The Congressional Budget Office estimates the government is on track to spend roughly $7 trillion this year, with the rescission request equaling just 0.1% of that total. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters at Tuesday’s briefing that Vought — a “well-respected fiscal hawk,” she called him — would continue to cut spending, hinting that there could be additional efforts to return funds. “He has tools at his disposal to produce even more savings,” Leavitt said. Vought said he can send up additional rescissions at the end of the fiscal year in September “and if Congress does not act on it, that funding expires.” “It’s one of the reasons why we are not putting all of our expectations in a typical rescissions process,” he added.
Comments: WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House on Tuesday officially asked Congress to claw back $9.4 billion in already approved spending, taking funding away from programs targeted by Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency. It’s a process known as “rescission,” which requires President Donald Trump to get approval from Congress to return money that had previously been appropriated. Trump’s aides say the funding cuts target programs that promote liberal ideologies. The request, if it passes the House and Senate, would formally enshrine many of the spending cuts and freezes sought by DOGE. It comes at a time when Musk is extremely unhappy with the tax cut and spending plan making its way through Congress, calling it on Tuesday a “disgusting abomination” for increasing the federal deficit. |
