Comments: There are only 10 games left in this World Cup. Also, I am increasing the points after today for the remaining 8 games of tournament for Quarter, Semi-and final games.

Comments: Zinsky, I agree that perhaps the players didn't ask for it, but they did cheer very big and danced when they found out their teammate's suspension was lifted. Also, I had another thought..., USA's Argentinian coach could have kept that player off the squad even though his suspension was lifted by FIFA and Trump, but he chose not to do so. To me, that would have been the right thing to do, an act that would have brought a lot of integrity back into the US football program. But maybe he was afraid he would get fired if he kept him off the roster.

Comments: Who knew Trump’s meddling in football would backfire so much? I guess everyone!!! Billions of the fans around the world were rooting for Belgium just because of this. I feel bad for the players and the coaching staff. They were caught in this without asking for it. At least in the case of America, the US fans didn’t call the players “besharaf”! We might be the only country in the world with fans rooting for the other team! Not all but enough to be shameful!

Comments: The president didn’t rescue Balogun. He didn’t give the U.S. greater odds to win. He didn’t fix the tournament by correcting a mistake. He repossessed the World Cup. He made Balogun, whose class and character represented the entire squad, the face of a fix. He helped create the snooty American attitude that gave Belgium a motivational boost. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7427411/2026/07/07/world-cup-trump-fifa-united-states-loss-belgium/
Comments: I don’t celebrate any team’s loss unless they are playing against Iran. I have to admit, I did a little, very little celebration last night. Not because it was US or I hated any player or the coach. I was happy that the outrages cheating didn’t work. Belgium played a great game and US was outplayed everywhere in the field. If it wasn’t for Trump fucking with FIFA as he does with everything else, I would say, US did a good job in this tournament. Not great but good job. With Trump involvement, the team was doomed! This WC has been terrible as far as fairness. Unfortunately, that is the signature of Trump’s USA!

Comments: Belgium beats, then trolls, U.S. team on Monday nightEven though it was tied, 1-1, after Malik Tillman scored another goal on a free kick just outside the penalty area, it never felt close. Belgium beat the U.S. in the Round of 16 in the 2026 World Cup on Monday night, 4-1, ending the dream of winning the tournament on American soil (they actually thought they would win the World Cup..., wow!). The excitement from the equalizer evaporated a minute later, when Charles De Ketelaere scored his second goal of the first half for Belgium. Throughout the night, the U.S. team seemed flat, lifeless. Low energy, as some would say. Chances started to materialize, inevitable close calls happened, but nothing made it into the goal. And an awkward play by U.S. goalkeeper Matt Freese early in the second half resulted in Belgium's third goal. After that, even though there was plenty of time to play, it felt like it was over. After it ended, the Belgian team's social media account had a message to the U.S. on Twitter: "Overturn this." (Now, they are blaming Trump for this loss) Would it have been any different if the Commander-in-Chief hadn't tried to twist the arm of FIFA president Gianni Infantino? There's no way to know. But it couldn't have been any worse than it was tonight for the U.S. team. And so the man who would have claimed full credit if the U.S. had won deserves at least some of the blame for the loss. He lit a fire for the Belgian team that it otherwise wouldn't have had. There's no way to prove it objectively. But if you followed the story and watched all of the game, it's a conclusion that is hard not to reach.

Comments: HAHA, Faramarz and Hamvatan. They are going to start bombing Belgium tomorrow/. They will probably wait to make sure their soccer team lands at home first...
