Comments: Typical but I hope not. گزارشهای رسیده به دماوند حاکی از آن است که به دنبال ترک وین توسط هیئت اتمی جمهوری اسلامی، تعدادی از وسایل اتاقهای هتل کوبورگ این شهر هم مفقود شدند! هیئت پرتعداد جمهوری اسلامی در ماههای اخیر در هتل بسیار لوکس و پنج ستاره کوبورگ در وین پایتخت اتریش اقامت داشت. با بینتیجه ماندن معامله هستهای در روزهای اخیر، اعضای این هیئت که به ریاست علی باقری (معاون سیاسی وزارت خارجه) اداره میشود، هتل کوبورگ و وین را ترک کردند و به تهران بازگشتند. «دماوند» از طریق منابع موثق خود مطلع شده که وسایل نه چندان کمی از درون اتاقهای نمایندگان دیپلماتیک جمهوری اسلامی در هتل کوبورگ پس از تخلیه این اتاقها توسط آنها ناپدید شده است! به جز حوله و شامپو، چند عدد بشقاب و کارد و چنگال نقره، حداقل یک عدد گلدان، اشیاء تزئینی و حتی یک ماشین قهوه و کپسولهای آن، از جمله وسایلی است که از اتاقهای هتل کوبورگ غیب شدند و ظاهراً باید ردشان را در چمدانهای دیپلماتیک هیئت جمهوری اسلامی پیدا کرد!

Comments: Fair. But my info was based on recently declassified info by state department and CIA not rumors. The uprising in Iran was genuine. The US was very concerned. Yes they were not too happy with the Shah when he raised the price of the oil, but at the same time he was an Allied partner and they were concerned with what was going on. The uprising was real but until an alternative found they wanted to make sure Iran does not fall under left and Russia since they were also aware of the shah's upcoming referendum in 1979 to start democratization. And when they put the two together, they started their communication with Khomeini (anti communist) three or four months before the revolution and here we are. When you read some of the books written by most around Carter they all converge to what was declassified recently. By recently I mean past 5 years or so. Iran and Shah got too rich and powerful and that is why US policy does not allow for example Saudi Arabia to produce more oil. Saudi and UAE can easily compensate for Iran's lack of participation in oil production. Easily. But US does not want Saudi to become over rich mainly due to how they saw the shah reacted when the country became prosperous and rich. My uncle was a deputy ambassador of Iran in East Germany. God bless his soul always was telling me that my path is wrong and delusional. And of course his rationale was look at life in East Germany vs West Germany. Specially after the attack by confederation students of the embassy in East Berlin in 1976.

Comments: Ali, We have to agree to disagree on the timing of the US involvement. Shah was getting too independent and pour-roo for them for at least few years before revolution. He was criticizing the West and Israel. He was thinking about buying weapons from other countries. He was thinking, “let’s shop around for the best deals”! Oil was and still is our biggest asset and curse at the same time. He helped the Persian Gulf nations negotiate a deal to increase the cost of oil. He may have been the reason why Qatar and UAE ended up so rich. He also was a fool! He trusted the West. He truly believe they are his/Iran’s friends. He was removed and was treated like a piece of trash at the end.

Comments: Dear Zinsky that is true. Very much agree except the US orchestrating the revolution from scratch. I would say 6 month before the revolution yes. US saw the turmoil and wanted to make sure Iran does not fall in the hands of left. Russians and American officials visited Khomeini in Najaf and in France. And they got a guarantee from Khomeini that the oil to the west will be accessible. Except that Khomeini with his Khod'eh and full power turned his back to the west. Yes that is why we all live here. We want our best for Iran but we all chose here. Very simple. Land of opportunity for all of us. And those who were brighter and zebeltar did better by studying science and fit right in. Such opportunities certainly did not and does not exit in Russia China and Iran. Sure strong military is great but not at expense of poverty. Shah had strong military but also provided somewhat average life for most of us. We can't deny that. But strong military for protection of who? Nation? Nation is under the poverty line. We have to care about the noble people of Iran. People come first. But unfortunately did not happen. People are last. It is very sad to say. But no Iranians suffered/killed under external forces in the past 4 decades as much as they did by mafia in charge. I guess Iraq comes second. Noble people of Iran, their comfort and security should be on top of the agenda. I was a leftist in the late 70s. Lived in East Germany before unification and was against the western influence but at the end we see our people deprived and battered magnitudes worse now versus what the realty was back then. Security, comfort, and prosperity of Iranian people should be our number one goal. We (Iran) have to do everything possible to get the people there and we have to do everything possible to be an independent nation. Things have to change from within to reach there and if the superpowers (China, Russia, USA) don't allow that and if we have to be the servant of one them, then between these 3 we have to chose one. Which one Iranian people pick? The answer as you mentioned rightly is quite obvious. The choice all of us on this page made for our comfort and prosperity.

The "Russian Mafia" he is talking about is actually the Human Trafficking Mafia that is run globally by operatives from Israel, Russia and Ukraine.
