I think all the uncertainty is intentionally done by Trump. This is because he is really freaking out about what the war is doing to his presidency. And he sees the markets as the biggest indicator of that. So, he is trying to manipulate it by manufactured lies. His trouble is that the facts on the ground leak out and eliminate the temporary effects of the lies.

Right now the markets have shit vertigo (goh gijeh). Do not know what to believe. Trump says a deal is coming. Then not knowing any diplomacy at all or any knowledge of negotiation, turns around freaks out and threatens Iran to agree to a deal. Threats are the only way he knows how to get a "deal". It is also the way he has ruined all his businesses and still has not learned.

The reality though is that neither side wants truce. What the mediator needs are, are irrelevant. It is going to come down to that eventually, no matter how much he manufactures shit. He either has to do a full TACO and let Iran have its way in Strait of Iran with the 10 commandments, or let Israel have its way and go all out war. I think the latter is much more likely.

What are we going to do about it? Nothing!!!
Throughout US President Donald Trump's second term in office, traders have been betting millions of dollars just before he makes major announcements.
The BBC has examined trade volume data on several financial markets and matched them to some of the president's most significant market-moving statements.
It found a consistent pattern of spikes just hours, or sometimes minutes, before a social media post or media interview was made public.
Some analysts say it bears the hallmarks of illegal insider trading, whereby bets are made by people based on information that is not available to the general public.
Others say the picture is more complicated and that some traders have become more adept at anticipating the president's interventions.

Uncertainty clouded prospects for a new round of U.S.-Iran peace talks on Tuesday, ahead of the scheduled end of a two-week cease-fire between the two countries, as Tehran denounced American threats and the seizure of an Iranian cargo ship.
Vice President JD Vance was expected to leave for Pakistan on Tuesday, two U.S. officials said, just over a week after a round of talks there with Iran’s lead negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, ended without a deal.
Iran has not publicly confirmed its participation in more talks, and Mr. Ghalibaf said on Monday that Iran would not attend under “the shadow of threats” — an apparent reference to President Trump’s vow to target Iranian power plants and civilian infrastructure if a deal isn’t reached.
In private, however, two senior Iranian officials said that an Iranian delegation was making plans to travel to Pakistan on Tuesday and to resume talks. The Iranian officials said that Mr. Ghalibaf would attend negotiations with the United States if Mr. Vance were there.
Pakistan’s government said it was deploying thousands of security officers in Islamabad, the capital, to ensure negotiators’ safety. The Serena hotel, which hosted the first round of discussions, has been cleared of other clients.
Even if the sides return to the negotiating table, many sticking points remain — on Iran’s nuclear program, for instance, or on the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic conduit for oil and gas. The threat of Iranian attacks has throttled shipping traffic through the strait, prompting the United States to impose a blockade of Iranian ports that the U.S. Navy says has forced 27 ships to turn around.
Here’s what else we are covering:
Energy: Oil prices pulled back and stocks inched higher on Tuesday as investors eyed the possibility of new U.S.-Iran peace talks.
Iranian-flagged ship: Iran’s foreign ministry on Tuesday condemned the United States for “maritime piracy” after it seized the Touska, an Iran-flagged container ship that the U.S. Treasury had sanctioned during Mr. Trump’s first term.
Lebanon: The State Department said it will host another round of ambassador-level talks in Washington between Israel and Lebanon on Thursday.
China: Xi Jinping, China’s top leader, called for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz — the first time he has done so — underscoring the war’s impact on Chinese economic interests.

POSSIBLE PEACE TALKS: President Donald Trump has sounded positive about new peace talks despite uncertainty over Tehran's participation. "They’re going to negotiate," Trump said, and "if they don’t, they’re going to see problems like they’ve never seen before." Vice President JD Vance will likely head to Islamabad today, a source told NBC News.
IRAN WON'T NEGOTIATE 'UNDER THREAT': Iran will not negotiate "under the shadow of threat" and has prepared “new cards on the battlefield,” its top negotiator warned, as Tehran signaled ahead of tomorrow’s ceasefire deadline that it is ready if the war resumes.
SEIZED SHIP FUELS TENSIONS: Iran demanded the immediate release of a cargo ship seized by the U.S. and vowed retaliation, as the American naval blockade added to tensions around the crucial Strait of Hormuz. U.S. forces boarded another sanctioned tanker overnight, the Pentagon said, as part of the effort to disrupt support for Iran.
DEATH TOLL: Iran’s forensics chief said nearly 3,400 people had been killed in the country since U.S.-Israeli strikes began Feb. 28. More than 2,200 people have been killed in Lebanon, 32 have been killed in Gulf states, and 23 have died in Israel. Thirteen U.S. service members have been killed, and two more died of noncombat causes.

This is a good one. Includes Steve Bannon's view of UAE. [smile] And, a fight in UK parliament.

Amazing that UAE is acting like a US company, actually is asking for USA to bail them out!

At least 26 Iranian shadow fleet vessels bypass US blockade

  • More than 10 vessels have transited past the US blockade line since the terms were expanded last week
  • Eleven tankers laden with Iranian cargo have left the Gulf of Oman or Middle East Gulf since April 13
  • A Greek-owned bulker left an Iranian port on April 15 and passed the blockade line on April 19

I think most of the first group is gone. I do not see them having a say in what will come next. In all honesty, USA could not have done any worse, if they wanted to.

There seems to be two groups running the Iranian government. The elected ones who seem to be willing to work out a deal and the other, the military group, who are just fine with the war and conflict. The 2nd group feels that they have achieved their objectives by bugging down the US and Israel in a war that could not lead to any meaningful victory for either side. The 1st group wants a deal to move forward with the running of the country the best they can.

  • Iran says it has no plans to send negotiators to Pakistan for a new round of talks after the United States seized an Iranian-flagged cargo ship in the Strait of Hormuz.
  • Still, President Donald Trump says US team, led by Vice President JD Vance, is on its way to Islamabad,
  • Pakistan tightens security in the capital before the possible talks, locking down parts of the city and deploying 20,000 security personnel.
  • In Lebanon, the 10-day ceasefire with Israel holds despite repeated Israeli attacks, as the US says second round of talks between Israel and Lebanon will be held in Washington on Thursday.

US ‘violations of ceasefire’ an obstacle to talks, Iran tells Pakistan

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has told his Pakistani counterpart Ishaq Dar that the US’s “continued violations of the ceasefire” are a major ‌obstacle to the continuation of the diplomatic process, according to an Iranian Foreign Ministry statement.

Araghchi told Dar in a phone call that Iran, while taking all aspects of the matter into account, will decide ‌on how to proceed further.

I am not sure whether I should cry or laugh about that picture.  If I were IRI, I would not go after this group as strongly as they did with MojAhedin. Monarchists are the best type of opposition you can have. Incompetent, their leader compromised, and morally bankrupt. In short they are the most impotent opposition you can have. Yet, they are loud and overwhelm any type of real opposition at its roots.

⁨Monarchist in one take - I heard many monarchists refusing to go to this gathering because they believe they will be identified by IR regime and won’t be allowed back or worse have their assets confiscated.

They already admit defeat in a sense I guess
