Comments: I am with Shahryar on what can be done in the next 8 months. I think with the right coach we can be much better than we are now in 8 months. So, I do not agree with the give up attitude. Clearly we cannot win the world cup or may be even reaching the second round is not possible, but where we are now is where we will likely register a few losses like SA had against Germany, the 8-0. In 8 months with the right coach, I think we can do much much better than that and may be even have an outside chance of advancing to the second round.
Comments: Keefer jAn, I for one do not really care about these last two games. My hope still is that we can do well in the WC. at this point, advancing to the second round is the icing and am not holding my breath for that but at least can we do well like in the last two WCs? So, whatever that needs to happen to best position us for a good performance, I am good with it, be it a win or a loss now against Lebanon.
Comments: Gentlemen, what a wonderful discussion! Nothing is over yet and we may be able to lead. However would that change anything? The current coach will stay and we will be obliterated at the real meetings. Korea loss So, once again, where do we stand? Desiring a win is equivalent to the coach staying. A loss will perhaps force the "mafia IFF management" seriously looking for a replacement that is not even a guarantee in getting what TM really needs.
Comments: better to have a tough game today to reveal our weakpoints than it is to see them for the first time in the first match of the WC. With JB and Taremi and ezzatolahhi, the score would not have been 2-0, so I wouldn't be too embarrassed about the result. The most important takeway from th is match is that we have 3 or 4 players which are question marks, and one or 2 that should be crossed off the list. Gholami and Hajsafi are those 2 players who should be gone. Gholami, even if he was playing out of position left his man open so many times. The second goal was completely on him. He showed nothing on either end of the field. Hajsafi is outright useless, even as a utility player. Mohammadi is a one dimensional player. He has speed and can cover alot of ground and even if he leaves a player open, he makes up for it through his speed and recovers. He is a good defender . On attacks, however, he's a black hole. I have never seen this player go up the sideline and at least deliver a decent cross. It seems he has no foot strength. Gholizadeh should not start, period. He would be effective in the 2nd half playing against a tired defense given his explosiveness. Abedzadeh to me is a question mark. He is small compared to most of the top Goalkeepers of the world. A GK needs to have a presence in goal, and every time I see him, he seems to be one of the smallest players and it is scary to see him on set plays against top teams. Whether Beiro is in shape or not, at least you felt he had control of the aerial game due to his size. And ofcourse the mistake Abedzadeh made against Korea was inexcusable. Either he's too cocky, or he was overpowered. I hope that was his cocky side. As for our coaching staff, I hope we retire this stupid 4-3-2-1 formation. Sardar Azmoun surrounded with 4 defenders will not give you results especially when you lack a creative playmaking midfielder.
Comments: Zia Arabshahi, pishkesvat I know a person who imposed 3 players on the national team / These players were not worth wearing the national team jersey! Unfortunately the people who were on the side of Skochic were influenced by outsiders. It was not clear how some players such as Majid Hosseini, Aref Gholami and Mehdipour were invited to the national team. They were not up to the task of wearing the national team jersey, especially Gholami from whom we suffered a lot in the game against Korea. The game was very engaging and we could have scored the first goal, but this did not happen due to Haj Safi's selfishness. * Korea's tactic was to put pressure on our team from two sides and it was very good in that. As long as Khalilzadeh was brave, Sun could not do anything special, but right after he left, our left side was like a highway and the Korean players penetrated very easily, and that was the reason for our defeat against Korea. Of course, nothing is over yet and we may be able to lead the game against Lebanon again. * The gentleman who entered football through a club team this year and imposed three players from a popular team on the national team, hit the national team badly. Despite this loss, the value of the players and staff is not diminished, but unfortunately, the people who were next to Skochic were influenced by outsiders, because being in the national team was the right of players like Torabi, Sarlak, Rezaian or even Hardani, but they were persecuted. This gentleman better pursue his work in the holding company as soon as possible so that we do not get hit more than this.

4) Mentor and guide its players; build confidence in them and make sure they play as a "TEAM", with a single mentality of winning and "Can Win" attitude;
Comments: Lol comparing coaches by comparing one result vs another team is just crazy. Specially when it is different eras and players Well Di Matteo won CHL with Chelsea. Something Mourinho, Hiddink, Ancelotti, Conte and other Great managers couldnt do with Chelsea. So he must be better than all of Them I live you guys football passion, the football knowledge is unfortunately lacking. I have concerns like many others. But I cant see what any coach Can change in 8 months. You have to understand that it wont change much. You Think a New foreign coach knows about IPL players such Az Hardani? They know Azmoun, Taremi and Jahanbakhsh, thats it. He wont watch 10000 hours of IPL matches. He Will get recommended which players to Pick, or he Will go with the exact Same squad as Skocic, because he wants experienced players who know eachother and have worked together. You guys really Think players like Hajsafi Will be droppes?? This is crazy. The New coach Will be told that Hajsafi is the most experienced player and one of the leaders in the dressing room who has the other players respect, and therefore invite him immediatly. Therefore the squad Will be exactly the same. What a New coach may do, is changing the tactics a bit. Probably he Will play more defensively, as that is the easier thing to do, and what most teams do, when they havnt had time to work on other tactics. And you cant build New tactics without proper camps and friendlies. Even Pep cant do that. So it Will be parking the bus, which seems to annoy you guys anyway. Worst case scenario we Will end up with a iranian coach who is biased as fukk. Please consider these things and thing about it logically and not emotionally
Comments: Zinsky, MK = Mayeli Kohan? Just kidding.I think the new MK might develop into the right coach for us. He has the personality. I am also all for giving the youth a chance at international stage. I am really tired of our stars emerging at the tender age of 28! They need to be fully developed by 22! This means our U23 players have to have significant international experience already.
Comments: Shahryar jan, I got it after posting that. Thank you for correcting me. Yes. The return leg could be a whole new game for CQ and company. Let's hope and am sure the better coutcome will prevail
Comments: Keefer, I saw your earlier post about Egypt qualifying already, but I believe you already know that yesterday was only the first leg against the Senegal. They still have to endue the second leg against them on the road. After the article against him on Egyptian papers, I am more hopeful that if they do not qualify, his future in Egypt may be limited.
Comments: Zinsky, I am definitely with you on trying to build our future TM and giving our Under-23 the exposure they need. However, we currently have major issues with our TM and of course our coach, that need to be sorted out. But we should definitely start with the U-23 team right after the WC, and prepare them for the next WC.
Comments: Practice for U-23 and possibly look at MK as future coach.

Comments: Send them to Mashhad to play Lebanon… TEHRAN, Iran U-23 football team will play two friendly matches against Iranian clubs Nassaji and Persepolis. Iran U-23 team will meet Nassaji on Sunday and face Persepolis two days later in Tehran. The friendlies will be held as part of the preparation for the 2022 AFC U-23 Asian Cup. The Iranian team has been drawn in Group A along with host Uzbekistan, Qatar, and Turkmenistan.
Comments: Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Morteza Pourali Ganji test results were negative, so are in the camp today
Comments: The barrage of comments continue from all angles. This one is from an Ali:
