Comments: The countries that Qualified already, PLUS those I believe will qualify shortly. We can make our predictions based on these countries; however, if one of the nations I listed below did not qualify, we use its replacement. I realize that depending on which one qualifies, it could and most likely change the POT-Allocations. The countries with an asterisk (*) have not yet officially qualified yet. USA and Mexico will most likely qualify in 24 hours.
Comments: I just realized that the WC Draw is taking place this Friday, even though 5 of the teams have not been decided yet. This does not give us much time to make our predictions. I will start providing data right away...

Comments: Doostane Aziz, Four years ago, I set up a competition on the Football Board, to see who can predict which team is going to be in which group. Everyone thought it was fun. Zinsky and kAmKAr were there too and probably remember it. Perhaps we can do something like that here too.

The only penalty they actually scored (in the shootout), was lucky, as it hit the bar before going in. I noticed that Senegal Spectators were throwing some kind of "lights" into the eyes of Egyptian players; that must have been very distracting. It was un-sportsman like. I think FIFA should take some action against them; but the damage is done to Egypt anyway.

Comments: I suppose the easiest question is which teams we want to avoid.
Comments: Let's hope IFF junevars take advantage of the situation surrounding CQ and rethink the coaching option. On a different note did you guys notice that for the first time, TM went to the field without Esteghlal and Persepolis players against one of their opponents?
Comments: Shahryar jAn, I have some good friends who really hate CQ. I told them that rumor has it that CQ has already booked his flight out of GhAhereh and it is to Tehran. They all freaked out. I think we are quietly freaking out a few silent readers here too. :) But I do agree. CQ is really our only option now.
Comments: Faramarz, I suppose we want the lowest ranked team in each pot. Even though, the ranking is not as scientific as it should be.
Comments: Zinsky, I agree with you on all counts. As far as CQ's style; well, it worked for us. Defense is the most important thing; it is the foundation of the game. What is the use of scoring two goals in every game, if we give up 4 goals? Faramarz, We are in a very unique situation now..., the stars are lining up for us. CQ is not going to WC, and believe me, he wants to go. We need a coach that can understand us..., well he does. after the Nuclear deal is done in a matter of days from now, we will have money to pay him, and he likes that. Like you said, he has a long history with us; he does not need to come up to speed and learn about our players and culture; he already knows them. He will just pick up where he left off three years ago. Like I said, The Stars have lined up for us... CQ is our man; we need to get him now.
Comments: Zinsky aziz, I did not ask what is likely. I am wondering what you prefer, however unlikely. What do you think is the easiest for us?
Comments: By he way, I am only seeing our highlights now. Loved the through pass down the middle and Sardar's finish. We rarely see such set up by our midfielders.
Comments: That ended up to be too many teams!!!🤪 Take one of the European teams out and math should work out…
Comments: It’s more than likely that Iran will end up with 2 European teams, one African and possibly a North American team. I don’t mind Portugal again. I also don’t mind USA.
Comments: I think CQ can instill the chemistry and confidence. There is a lot of history there.
Comments: With Pot 3 now set, let's hear what the best case scenario would be. Here is my preference: 1. Portugal, USA, Iran, Wales, or second easiest 2. Portugal, USA, Iran, Algeria USA is a big hole in Pot 2 and any group that gets them will be the easiest group.
Comments: All bacheha need are the awakening of courage and self-confidence and that CQ may be able to bring them to life in them and bind the chemistry. Otherwise, as Faramarz alluded to, we have all the tools in our roster.
