Comments: Shahryar jAn, that is a pretty good record of prediction and I should say that I do have a great prediction of the outcome of a game after watching it for 10 minutes, but before the game, I have always placed second to last in prediction games. :) Still, I wish I had the hope that you have. I just do not see the team that played Iraq, Lebanon, or Korea to even stage a tie against Wales. And fear that between now and then, nothing is going to change. They will either avoid all friendlies so to avoid exposing Skocic, or play one and show how bad it is and replace him with GN a week before the games the JT style.  Neither of these scenarios are good. On the unity, also, I do not see the do dastegi to get any better. But I do see it to get worse. People who were quite but were hoping for a change like Beiro and others are now going to get pissed and start acing up. So, I do not see our broken team to get unbroken with this coach. So, I hope I am wrong but this team, I think, will go into the WC with all sorts of issues. After a loss of 3-0 or 4-0 against England, all the issues will boil back up and the rest of the tournament will go to hell as well.
Comments: Observer, We certainly do not have a very good results from World Cups to go back to; however, the past two World Cups we did improve substantially. We did not get blown away by any team and came from 2 centimeters of qualifying to the 2nd round against Spain. We were certainly on our way up..., maybe that is what everyone was talking about. But I do agree that the results you showed are not impressive at all.
Comments: The funniest argument the pro CQ crowd make is Iran is going to lose their reputation in WC if we go there with skocic. I don't know what reputaion they are talking about. We have been in 5 WCs and played 15 games with a combined 2-4-9 record and a -15 GD. That's not a good reputation with any measure. We will get a 'good reputation' only if we start winning a few more games and get a postive GD, hopefully in our lifetime.
Comments: And I'm talking about the CQ crowd back home who orchestrated the attack on Skocic not the fans around the world since they can not change things.
Comments: Faramarz Jan, I like Scottie and I agree with his statement :) However, please know that I have a pretty good record of predicting scores. During the last 4 World Cups when I conducted the World Cup Prediction Contests, I finished in 2nd place twice, third place once and 5th place. These were among 20~25 players. I believe we can hold our own against Wales, but do need to send a unified team against them. With CQ, my confidence was very high to advance from this group; say about 50%. With any other coach my confidence is less than 20%; but not zero.
