Comments: Looking at Belgium’s recent games, they seem to be a good team with wide swings! Some of the results are as bad as ours!!!

Comments: Faramarz, I think the bigger question is would they have a Ghoran recitation before Iran/Egypt game ![]() They way FIFA polished Trump's apple today in the draw ceremony that might not be a fantasy!
Comments: Tying Egypt is a tall order with old players and no coach. I think we will tie nz n lose to the other teams. Still will come in third but no chance of advancing.
Comments: I think (hope) we can beat New Zealand. We could possibly tie Egypt. On the other hand, I think everyone will beat New Zealand. It comes down to our goal difference against Egypt. We either finish 2nd or 3rd. Of course this is football and WC, anything could happen.
Comments: So, the top two teams and eight best third place teams will advance. Given this, and given the fact that we have no chance of placing second in our group with Ghandali, we have to compete for one of the eight third places. Given that the first five groups are distinctly easier than the rest, I think five of the eight third place teams will come from the first five groups. So, TM has to fight for the last three spots.
Comments: It is hard to know without all the group members but I think the easiest group will be one of Groups A-E. The rest are harder.

Comments: So which group do you guys think is the easiest and which is the hardest?
Comments: Tomorrow FIFA will announce the official schedule. Only then we will know where the first game will be.
Comments: The big game will be the last game against Egypt. Assuming that we have beating NZ, we need to tie or beat Egypt in that last game.
Comments: Lots of news about when and where! The latest I say, June 15th. Iran/New Zealand in Seattle June 21th, Belgium/Iran in LA June 26th Egypt/Iran in Vancouver |
