I think this is all BS and of course, it would be much easier and better for russian satellites to do their bidding in the Ukraine war than to sell one to Iran and then ask them to use it for the war. :) Shahryar jAn, what you say is true for new Russian satellites as well. Nothing will improve with the name Iran on it on the technical side. Russia could have easily launched one themselves and it would have been just as new as this one. Probably even better since they do not have everything in this one hat hey could throw at the war. The benefits are either purely political, i.e. there is a coalition against Ukrain. It is not just Russia, or that this is all BS. My money is on the latter.

They charged billions and billions and did not deliver and it is way behind. To continue and finish it they want more $$. This satellite was made by Russia. Now they sold to Islamic Republic and as you said for several months Islamic Republic cannot use it and guess what, islamic Republic paid with dollars and not rubles. About JCPOA, islamic Republic keep insisting that Russia's benefits should be fulfilled as part of the deal. They are more interested in fulfilling Russia's interest over their own. So Russia is putting all kinds of clauses for their benefits. In one term Islamic Republic is Putin's bitch and he does whatever he wants with these Mullahs. In the meantime we lost more rights in the Caspian Sea. We now have 11% ownership. RUSSIA IS BAD NEWS FOR IRANIANS. THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN A GOOD FRIEND.
Comments: Zinsky Jan, I cannot go into details; but all existing satellites (Russia's, US's, Chinese, etc.) are known to everyone and can be tracked and hacked if needed. A new satellite is safe for a while, until broken.

As long as they are afraid of America changing its mind and force them to follow, the so called deal is just a piece of paper… The senior EU official said the progress included guarantees that the United States would not scupper the deal by going back on its word in the future. In regards to Chomsky being under fire for certain comments or belief is not new and can happen to anyone of that stature. I don’t know if you remember, he was also under a lot of heat from his comment on “mandatory vaccine and masking”.

I am very proud of our IRANIAN scientists at any level, designing the Sats and also of the carriers taking us to the outer space. They are now designing their own research nuke machinery.
They also make gas turbines and I did not know that. That is one other item Iran is selling to Russia. One of their officials visiting Iran a while back commented that we did not know Iran is capable of making the stuff and "all along we were buying it from Europe". I don’t recall we were allowed to make anything of that nature under the sphere of the US influence. Going from a buyer from one superpower to now selling the stuff to another is a proud period and needs to be recognized and encouraged.
The scientific achievements, either in military, medicine or other areas stays with our people and passed on to the future generations, regardless of who is in power.
We still have a long ways in areas of rights, economy and heaven knows what else. But our people living there will achieve their goals. Securing our borders and our geographical spot on the planet will allow them moving forward toward their inherent hegemony they deserve.
