“SU 35 is better than what we currently have” Exactly, that’s the key point. No one will be giving us the 5th generation. But along with this contract, Iran is said to be signing to bring the manufacture of the jets to Iran. This would definitely be in our interest. RQ170 brought us the reverse engineering of making of the new generations of Iranian drones.
The problematic point is the manufature of parts for these fighters. Some US and Europeans companies are partners in the part making of them. Thus, Iran needs to think about the spare part aspect!
