Comments: Hamvatan jAn, well said on all fronts. The problem with our current opposition (mostly, valiahd's fans) is that they cannot tolerate opposing views. As soon as you disagree with them, u r a spy for the government. All this to follow someone who is sitting on the CIA payroll waiting to be told when to go back for 40+ years now!
Comments: Zinsky jan. those are my exact sentiments. You have to separate IRI from the people and not punish the whole population and belittle their achievements.

Comments: Iran squad selection has left several players with fighting chances of making the cut once the final squad is announced in under two months’ time. Far from being business as usual, September’s call-ups included numerous debutants, returning veterans and surprise. The return of Carlos Queiroz to the helm spelled hope for many a Dragan Skocic outcast, but also rang alarm bells for a few of his favorites who were left fearing for their places under the new-old regime. One man who has been handed a leash of life by Queiroz is veteran right-back Ramin Rezaeian, the-afc.com wrote. The 33-year-old played all 270 minutes of action under the Portuguese back in Russia 2018 and every minute of the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 knockout stage games but was then dropped in favor of Sadegh Moharrami under Skocic. Having now ended a five-year spell abroad in Belgium and Qatar, joining Sepahan, Rezaeian’s strong start to the Iran Professional League season and the return of Queiroz herald hope for a place in Qatar 2022, but he still must edge out competition from Moharrami and Saleh Hardani in this camp. Elsewhere in the squad, Hull City winger Allahyar Sayyadmanesh faces his own battle to make it to the FIFA World Cup as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury suffered last month. Iran’s only goalscorer in Russia 2018 Karim Ansarifard is likely to be the man he has to dislodge from the squad should he return to full health in time.
Comments: Well said Zinsky and Hamvatan. I admire your balanced views. Keefer khan, it is unfortunate situation and things are tense back home. I think this group is elite enough to tolerate and talk about different subjects even though they may be in conflict with your views. Some of us may disagree with your views but we respect it and that is the way it should be. Come back and let’s show our unity for Iranian people to everybody.
Comments: One thing I noticed when visiting Iran last was the fact that cash is no longer used in most transactions. That makes it hard for some of us without a bank account in Iran (No ATM card). Digital Rial just like any other digital currency seems like a good idea till it isn’t and millions are lost or stolen!
Comments: Why is Iran turning to a new ‘digital rial’? The digital currency, sometimes called a ‘crypto rial’, may improve Iran’s digital economy, but some have privacy concerns. https://www.aljazeera.com/amp/economy/2022/9/20/why-is-iran-turning-to-the-new-digital-rial
Comments: My 1st encounter with Iranian-Americans who are against anything Iranian after revolution was the game Iran played against USA in California after we beat them in WC. Game ended in a tie and most, if not all fans were Iranians. Some of the fans were chanting against team Melli. I asked one why? They explained anything that comes out of Iran under IRI is part of the system and needs to be disliked!!! That has become more and more evident since. I can’t stand IRI but I’m not against all that comes out of Iran, be it sport, technology or anything else. I’m against war period. I’m even more against it if it involves Iran. I’m against killing people in general but get mad when scientists are assassinated because of their work. I’m against crippling sanctions that are hurting ordinary people and had no effect on ruling party. I think no country has the right to invade any other country. I don’t think any country can bomb another country in the name of security. It’s even worse when a country attacks another country thousands of miles away, killing civilians and destroying cities and creating pain and suffering in the name of freedom. Does that make me anti American or pro IRI? That is not for me to decide or care…
Comments: Is this a free service? How secure is it? Starlink will seek to be exempted from international sanctions on Iran in order to be able to provide Internet services to the nation’s population, SpaceX Chief Executive Elon Musk said in a tweet. Musk was responding to a Twitter user asking if the Starlink satellite system operated by SpaceX would be able to provide Internet to people in Iran. Earlier, Musk had said in a tweet that Starlink is active on all continents, including Antarctica.

Comments: Keefer jan. Don't let the trolls win. The regulars and old timers are respectful despite having different takes on subjects. What we have in common is the love for Iran and Iranian nation. I may not agree with you on some issues (and may not agree with me) but I know you love Iran and so do I. Trolls expect others to act the same as them. Ignore them so they don't get their kick. At the other site, some of the regulars started this behavior and I left. One example: There was a confrontation between US and Iran in Persian Gulf. I stated that US is creating the confrontation since it was in Iranian water. And questioned why is it US right (as they were implying) to go thousand of miles away to the other side of the world to another country's territorial waters and provoke. I was labeled as IRI agent! If anyone has followed me they know I want IRI's demise but not at the cost of a war or territorial conquest by others since it will cause death and destruction for my hamvatans. They were hoping their messiah Trump was going to finish the job!![]() Anyway, continue to post and ignore the pests.
Comments: Shahryar and Faramarz jan, all the current conflicts in the world was due to British Monarchy policy and imperialism. I cannot phantom how any one can accept class based society in the 21st century. King, Duke, Sir, ... are all bullshit. Why would someone be privileged based which family (tavileh) they were born in? Of course, we have our own version in aghazadeha (gene khoob). I hope the common wealth countries wise up and denounce the useless monarchy and demand their stolen artifacts and jewels back. |
