Comments: Shahryar jAn, two problems with a nobel price: 1. U have to know how u did it. We have no clue! 2. Things like this get militarized and quickly classified. After that any hope of scientific advancement in public is gone. I suspect that is what will happen to this since it has obvious military applications. If we can make this pathogen avirulent, it would be perfect biological shield on airplanes to make any sort of airplane stealth. It absorbs radiation and nothing bounces off of it. No radar signature. So, u can have stealth planes that have standard design with all the speed and maneuverability of the old fashion fighter jets.
Comments: Keefer jAn, everyone has, except this idiot.  When someone falls asleep in the lab, there is not much that can be done but to fire him. But academia is so lame in the firing process that reminds me of democrats. I have been advised that instead of firing him, it would be easier to not let him in the lab (have him stay home), pay his salary and wait for his contract to end!!!
Comments: Faramarz, haven't you guys gone electronic notebook yet? The project started a decade ago in big pharma. With electronic notebook everyone will be connected to everyone els's minute by minute notes and the best control as to what any scientist is involved in at any given time.
Comments: Faramarz JAn, This is obviously not my field, but it sounds like whomever that creates something like this (good or bad), may have to be nominated for Nobel Prize. Not sure if it has merit, but keep that in mind.
Comments: Yup an organism that absorbs radiation and turns it into biochemical energy! I have not been exposed to it. I think no one has. :) CDC was surprisingly understanding. I thought I would be in a lot more trouble than having to write a few reports! I did take the notebook away. :)

Comments: Hamvatan!!!! Zinsky, no it is not a software bug! Bacteria. It all started with a new Fellow we hired and he kept asking for this really expensive lab notebook! He said he needs it to keep track of all his experiments. He said he religiously keeps a journal of all his steps so, they can be repeated. The next morning I get a call by our lab manager who says they have an issue with one of the cultured samples. When I asked what the issue was she said they cannot kill it! Turns out the fellow did a mutagenesis experiment, in the middle he fell asleep, and then woke up and went home. Now, we have tried to kill it with anything we have including harsh chemicals and bleach. Nothing works other than 200 degree sustained heat-basically blow torch it. Trouble is if it gets into people we have to blow torch the person. Oh and enjoys radiation and actually grows faster, except with frequencies in the blue range. When I asked him what he did, he says he does not remember, fell asleep. I look into his F'ing note book, it is blank!!! @#@@#!! Now CDC is involved and we have to transfer all of our work into a BSL4!

Comments: قرار است تیم ملی کشورمان در جام جهانی یک گوینده اختصاصی در ورزشگاه داشته باشد.  به گزارش همشهری آنلاین یکی از ابتکارهای فیفا در برگزاری مسابقات جام جهانی ۲۰۲۲ انتخاب گوینده اختصاصی برای تیمهای حاضر در جام جهانی است. گوینده که برای تیم ملی کشورمان انتخاب شده، امیر فرشاد تفکری رئیس هیات فوتبال استان یزد است. مردی که سالها به عنوان مجری و گزارشگر در تلویزیون یزد فعالیت کرده و اکنون نیز سکان هدایت فوتبال این استان را برعهده دارد، استانی که یکی از قطبهای فوتبال ساحلی است و تیمهای این استان در لیگ برتر فوتبال ساحلی معمولا قهرمان میشوند. هر کشور با یک گوینده اختصاصی فیفا برای اولین مرتبه در جام جهانی تصمیم گرفت که هر کشوری که در جام جهانی حضور دارد یک گوینده اختصاصی هم در ورزشگاه داشته باشد و به همین دلیل هم از فدراسیونها خواست که یک گزارشگر، مجری یا گوینده برای حضور در ورزشگاهها معرفی کند تا تماشاگران با گویش گوینده کشور خودشان بازیکنان و تیمهای ملی خود را تشویق کنند و شعارهای حماسی و ملی در ورزشگاهها با هماهنگی این گوینده سر داده شود. طبیعی است که افراد باتجربهتر و پیشکسوتتر از بنده قطعا وجود داشتند اما این افتخار نصیب من شد و فدراسیون فوتبال من را برای گویندگی در جام جهانی ۲۰۲۲ انتخاب کرد. با تفکری در مورد پست جدیدش در جام جهانی ۲۰۲۲ گفت و گویی انجام دادیم و او شرح کاملی از وظایف گوینده های جدید در ورزشگاهها در جریان جام جهانی را به شرح زیر بیان کرد: کارگاه آموزشی فیفا برای گویندهها فیفا برای هر ۳۲ گوینده حاضر در جام جهانی کلاسهای آموزشی برگزار می کند و ۴ روز زودتر از آغاز مسابقات ما به قطر سفر میکنیم و در واقع فیفا میزبان ماست و تمامی کارهای مربوط به سفر این ۳۲ گوینده از طریق فیفا انجام میشود. از خرید بلیت هواپیما تا رزرو هتل و تا زمانی که تیم ملی در جام جهانی حضور دارد من در قطر حاضر خواهم بود. در کلاسهای آموزشی قرار است مسایل مختلف به گویندههای ۳۲ کشور آموزش داده شود تا این گویندهها بتوانند شور و حال خاصی را در ورزشگاهها در خلال جام جهانی ایجاد کنند. تماشاگران هم قطعا با گویندههای کشور خودشان ارتباط بهتری برقرار میکنند. شیوه جدید اعلام اسامی بازیکنان اسامی بازیکنان هر دو تیم از سوی گویندههای هر کشور خوانده خواهد شد اما اینکه کدام گوینده ابتدا اسامی را بخواند در جلسه هماهنگی مسابقه تعیین میشود و هنوز به طور دقیق هم مشخص نیست که این گویندهها چقدر زمان برای سردادن شعارهای حماسی و ورزشی خواهند داشت. این مسایل در کارگاههای آموزشی فیفا به طور دقیق تشریح میشود. شعارها برای حفظ غرور ملی است
