Comments: آقا شهریار ممنون برای این مسابقه. ولی من یک شکایت دارم. این فریمرز هی اشتباه میگه ولی هنوز اوله. چطوری؟
Comments: Depending on which TM will show up against USA, we could make history or come back as usual!
Comments: On a lighter note, Rashti Khan is on a tear in the prediction contest; so far scoring 7 points after 2 games..., followed closely by Faramarz's 6 points (again), and Parviz's perfect prediction for the just-concluded game. Nice going guys :)
Comments: Two big mistakes cost cost Arabia their loss today; first the missed penalty (and the follow up), and second, the disastrous error by Arab defender.
Comments: Arabia game is over and they lost 0-2. Missed penalty killed them. I am also convinced that Arabia simply can not cross the ball. I noticed it early in the game and in the 2nd half started counting crosses by Arabia into the box, from both left and right (mostly the latter); and they missed 11 times in a row, lol. Arabia had more possession, but could not cash them in, as Zinsky mentioned. And in Football, finishing is everything. Poles could have scored more on counters, and this could have been like 0-4. This is more of reality check for Arabia.
Comments: What a F**k up by defender. 2-0
Comments: Saudis just can’t score. They have done a great job today but missed too many opportunities.
Comments: Ball hit the post more often than I have ever seen…
Comments: Tunisia's loss against Australia is so far the biggest let down of an African team. Watching the highlights of that game; Australia was lucky not to give up a couple of goals.
Comments: Zinsky, Thanks for posting the African records so far. I agree that their performance in this World Cup has certainly been under par so far. I think they may step up however, but this is certainly a disappointment for them. So, which continent is performing well so far? Asia has certainly done well, but the next 3 games will tell us more (Arabia, Japan and Korea's 2nd game). Europe is leading in 6 out of the 8 groups; no surprise there. South America will rise, I think, starting with Argentina today.
Comments: Arab player looked scared before attempting their PK; I knew he was going to miss, but they should have scored the rebound. What a big miss! That should have been their ticket to the next round, coming back 3 minutes after Poland's goal.
Comments: Poland scored 1-0
Comments: Let's see if Arabia is for real. If they can win/tie against Poland today, they will be the 1st Asian team to move up.
Comments:
Comments: Below is a table I keep to record Asian Teams' record in this World Cup (under the "Scores" tab); perhaps Faramarz can post it in a better format (it is in the overall spreadsheet posted.
Comments: Asian teams are doing better than expected and African teams are worse. I don’t know if playing in Asia has anything to do with it but this WC could have multiple Asian teams in the next round.
Comments: Aussies could be the next Asian surprise of this WC. They are winning with 3 minutes left
Comments: Prediction for ArmAn: Tunisia-A 2-1 Poland- SA 0-1 France- D 3-1 Argentina-M 1-0
Comments: Here are Amir's predictions:
Comments: Doostane aziz, I still need input from the following contestants for tomorrow's games: - LOL - Arman - Amir |
