I totally agree, Faramarz JAn. The "fist" to the Korea coach was something I had not seen before, and told me a lot about his character.
I have a friend who is from Portugal; he is also very warm, intelligent and loyal, as I think CQ is.

Comments: Klinsmann can shrivel up and die. He was not even that good on the pitch. Now he shows that he is racist too.
The day I saw CQ pump his fist at the Korean coach, I knew he had the right stuff for us.

CQ is the real deal!!!
There are so many racist people in the world; and Klinsmann is one of them. I can see him dressed as "Gestapo officer" .
He is the one who scored a goal against Iran in 1998 and was inside our goal after scoring it , pulling hard on the nest screaming...., nothing gentlemanly about that.

Comments: Okay, well, I am not tied in the lead with my son. His name isn't really Max but I gave him the name Max for the purpose of this contest.
You guys have got to do better.

Comments: Shahryar Jaan,
I couldn’t even understand the A holes comments!
Iran played the best game ever and won fair and square. Even the wales coach was impressed by the team. I don’t understand the reference to referee and all that BS.
Either way, I’m glad CQ put him in his place.

Iran boss Quieroz blasts BBC pundit over 'outrageous remarks' and demands resignation
Carlos Quieroz has certainly not held back during the World Cup.
00:09, Sun, Nov 27, 2022 | UPDATED: 00:14, Sun, Nov 27, 2022 Iran manager Carlos Quieroz has launched an extraordinary attack on BBC pundit Jurgen Klinsmann over the German legend's comments about his side during their 2-0 World Cup win over Wales. The Middle East side bounced back from their opening 6-2 defeat to England to seal a dramatic late victory over the Welsh, giving themselves a chance of qualifying for the last-16 as a result. Former Tottenham striker Klinsmann, however, was left far from impressed with some of the Iranian conduct on the pitch, and suggested they manipulated the referee into giving decisions their way. Taking aim at Quieroz and his side, Klinsmann said: "Carlos fits really well with the national team and their culture, he failed in South America with Colombia and then failed to qualify with Egypt, and he came in right before the World Cup with Iran, where he worked for a long time. "It is not by coincidence, it is part of their culture, how they play. They worked the referee. They work the linesman and fourth official, they are constantly in their ear. There were a lot of incidents we didn't see. This is their culture, they take you off your game. Now, however, Quieroz has responded via his Instagram account, and posted a long and scathing message addressed to Klinsmann. "Dear Jurgen," it started. "You took the initiative to call me Carlos, so I believe it is proper to call you Jurgen. Right? Even not knowing me personally, you question my character with a typical prejudiced judgment of superiority. Klinsmann has been working as a pundit for the BBC (Image: Getty)"No matter how much I can respect what you did inside the pitch, those remarks about Iran Culture, Iran National Team and my Players are a disgrace to Football. Nobody can hurt our integrity if it is not at our level, of course.
"Even saying so, we would like to invite you as our guest, to come to our National Team Camp, socialize with Iran players and learn from them about the Country, the people of Iran, the poets and art, the algebra, all the millennial Persian culture… And also listen from our players how much they love and respect Football.
"As American/German, we understand your no support. No problem." Klinsmann is one of the members of Qatar's Technical Study Group, which aims to provide analysis of all matches in the tournament while increasing and developing understanding of the game across the world.

Comments: The USA vs Iran is a politically charged match because of the geopolitical tension between the two countries. The rivalry started in the 1998 World Cup when Iran drubbed the USA 2-1.
Much-awaited Iran vs USA FIFA World Cup 2022 match is scheduled for November 30 kick-off.
After holding England to a goalless draw on Friday night, the USA coach Gregg Berhalter faced tricky questions about the game against Iran, which is fresh from a clinical 2-0 win over Wales.
Berhalter said the Iran game would be ‘hotly contested, but not because of relations between our countries.
Wednesday’s match is important for both teams, with the USA facing Iran in a must-win game, while a draw or a win will be enough for Team Melli to seal a Last 16 berth.
‘United by a common love of football’
“I have played in three different countries, and I coached in Sweden, and the thing about football is you meet so many different people from all around the world, and you are united by a common love of the sport,” said Berhalter.
“I envision the game being hotly contested for the fact that both teams want to advance to the next round – not because of politics or because of relations between our countries. We are footballers and we are going to compete and they are going to compete and that is it,” he added.
‘Focus on preparation’
Berhalter, however, described the match as the “first knockout game” of the Qatar World Cup.
“We win or we are out of the World Cup, and that is going to be the focus of ours in preparing the team,” Berhalter said.
“But most of all we will need to understand the intensity Iran’s going to bring. We going to have to be up for it if we want a chance to advance,” added the 49-year-old coach.
Placed in Group B, the USA is currently third on the table with two draws, while Iran is second with a win and defeat.

Speaking of how different confederations are doing in this World Cup; we talked about Asia doing well and Africa not so well. I just put together a table of CONCACAF teams during this World Cup and saw the following:
| | Win | Draw | Loss | GF | GA | GD | Points | | USA | 0 | 2 | 0 | 1 | 1 | 0 | 2 | | Mexico | 0 | 1 | 1 | 0 | 2 | -2 | 1 | | Canada | 0 | 0 | 1 | 0 | 1 | -1 | 0 | | Costa Rica | 0 | 0 | 1 | 0 | 7 | -7 | 0 | | Total | 0 | 3 | 3 | 1 | 11 | -10 | 3 | As you can see; they are not doing well at all; I would say the worst confederation results so far. I hope that continues on next Tuesday!
