I agree with their take and view posted here.

In terms of the crowd size. I heard exaggerated figure of 180K. But I believe 80K estimate by LAPD to be accurate. It was spread in many directions that you could not see from one vantage point. I moved around a bit and from the visual size estimate it was close to filling Azadi stadium. But still small compared to Southern Cal Iranian population.

The radical Shahollahi who expect everyone accept their view are no different in my mind with today's Basijis. These people are basically doing the bidding for IR to creates division when we need to stick together.
Once IR is out we need to follow the democratic process and let the people living in Iran make the choice on what type of government they want. We have plenty of qualified people in Iran and in jails (and on the death row) for their bravery who will have a lot to say and participate in the after IR process. Even in my family there are different preferences for post IR government but they are united against IR and do not want to talk about their different approaches right now.

I am the least qualified and really don't think should have a direct say since I live in US and have set up my kids here with no plans to go back. But even with a fraction of Iranians outside IRAN participating actively in movement against IR, they have been very effective in being the voice of people in Iran and causing actions against IR by global (kicking them out of Women's Rights Forum, etc.) and external entities. If we don't fall in the trap of creating divisions amongst the opposition. it is a strong force that can help.

In regards to the youngsters in Iran, they are very aware and collectively will carry the torch. They know what they want and are aware of all of the pot holes. This generation is not stuck in Pahlavi era. They want more. They hear about the economic prosperity and personal (not political) freedom of Shah's time. But they want more than that they want political freedom, rooting out corruption, safe guarding the environment, stamping out racism and discrimination AND get religion and FARD-PARASTI out of government.

There is hope.
