Comments: Can I make a plea to veterans of this site who are killing themselves not to post under their original handle? There really is no point to hide your identity. No one random walks across this page and decides to spam. It is not a secret that the Mashties, Realists, lols are all a small group (in no particular order): KAmkAr, Shahin, Farzad, Gorbi, Bardia, and a hand full of others. There really is no point of hiding behind a fake handle other than having malicious intentions. Can I invite you to post under your original handle? If you do not, all of us will assume that your intentions are malicious. This is what has been going on for some time. So, to have meaningful dialogs, you do have to honor this basic request.
Comments: Depression has a wide variety of meanings. I’m for sure depressed about the state of affairs around the world. Curtain sings, images and even food make me very emotional. I like your suggestions. I have a very large family back home. When I visit Iran, I don’t have time to go places. I just have enough time to see as many family members as possible. Helping others is always a great way to feel good about yourself. I’m doing my part but I can always do more.

Comments: Zinsky khan. It is most likely sign of depression. Do you exercise? I take it you are in your 50s / 60s. You have to do something fulfilling. I am probably a good 10 years older. I mentioned my trip to iran 3 months ago. Spent a good time going to villages and small towns. Helped people. Turned a 100 dollar bill to over 5 million toman and just helped people. Buying them bread or yogurt or tea. It makes you feel good. I am going there again in a few weeks, this time alone without the family. Hired this fine driver who is basically going to take me around and see my homeland and people. It feels good. And they also see how friendly Iranians abroad are. They even mentioned it. Unfortunately in iran, Iranians, even my relatives, are used to seeing bad bakhti and it is not a shock to them as much as it is to us. Someone in Abhar told me that ایرانیها که از خارج میان دست دلباز ترند. Sure has to do with strong dollar but I think because we do not see ordinary Iranian people everyday we tend to care more. So brother, do something fulfilling. Do something that makes you feel good and gives you peace of mind. It helps. Good luck. And looks like there are others who use Mashti as handle but I am sure you can tell who is who.

How does this not fall within US' sanctions? Sounds intentional loophole! SharyAr, I just spent 15 minutes looking at that figure. :)

Comments: Sanctions only hurt people. The IRI always finds a way to get rich! Iran is trading oil for gold with Venezuela, Turkey, and Lebanon, according to an Iranian economist. As the country finds ways to skirt international sanctions, Mohammad Hassan Gholami said Wednesday that Tehran has received gold from its allies in exchange for oil shipments. Gholami, who is also the head of Iran's GoldMoney Association, claimed that "the Muslim world has moved towards goldmoney" and away from traditional currency, with countries like Malaysia and Kuwait also welcoming it.
Comments: I see a lot of discussions like this outside of Iran. I have to say that I do not see these discussions being irrelevant to my generation who actually will have to make the change happen. My generation is on the streets because of their dissatisfaction, not because someone out here said go on the street. People like Mashti and Realist seem to think this is not so. I wonder why! Being at each other's throat does nothing for Iran and so, I have to agree with Faramarz that this is likely a personal thing!
