Comments: It’s not as complicated as it sounds!!! There were elements in Iranian society at the time that wanted change in Iran. They were either religious, leftists or just anti dictatorship. They all were given a chance to unite under the same conditions. The foreign actors made it possible. They were all thinking as soon as Shah is out, we can push our agenda. For about 3 months after the revolution, most groups were doing their thing freely and hoping to have the upper hand. At the end, the religious groups had the most power for many reasons that is complicated. I also accept the fact that a large group of people within Shahs inter circle including military and savak were working with foreign countries. Knowingly or not, they were pushing Shah to act as he did during the revolution. It’s all history now! We can only learn from it. What will happen tomorrow or 20 years from now is unknown. One thing is certain, the rest of the world is happy with status quo. Everyone is using the situation in Iran to their advantage. Only Iranians are being screwed and that means nothing to them.

Comments: Also, I found what I think aaghaa Faramarz said new and interesting. He was saying that he thinks Savak was involved in staging the revolution. There was also a video of Shahryar the poet who wrote a poem for Shah visiting Tabriz. At the very end of it Shahryar made the statement the bizzare statement that he did not think Shah could freely talk with anyone. Savak agents were closing in quickly and inquiring what Shah had said. This also is very strange for the king of a country. All fits together. Savak, of course was created by the CIA and Mosad. It now appears to me that at least a big part of that organization was not loyal to Shah but instead heavily infiltrated by the CIA and loyal to them. It was not a secret service for the country but an extension of CIA. I wonder if Shah recognized this.
Comments: Aaghaa Zinsky, the "we didn't know" what comes next or who Khomeini was is the most bizarre part. I have never read about a revolution where people did not know it leader. How can this be? There are so many missing pieces here. What Faramarz khaan said about social engineering or you called it engineered perfect storm fills in many of the holes. Still, it is essential not to exaggerate the significance of the Russia-GCC joint statement on resolving the Iran-UAE dispute. As both Moscow and Tehran are fully aware, Iran will not enter into negotiations with the UAE, much less allow the International Court of Justice, to arbitrate their dispute. The Russia-GCC joint statement does nothing to alter the fact that Iran remains in control of the three islands and is likely to remain so.

Comments: علی دایی از کشور خارج شد! خبرورزشی توشت: اسطوره ماندگار پرسپولیس و تیم ملی از کشور خارج شد. علی دایی یکی از چهرههای فراموشنشدنی و به نوعی برند فوتبال ایران در خارج از کشور محسوب میشود. مردی که بارها به گردهماییهای بزرگ و مراسم قرعهکشی مسابقات معتبر دعوت شده و از این بابت هم مانند دوران فوتبال خود برای ایران افتخارآفرینی کرده است. دایی که طی چند ماه گذشته اتفاقات فراوانی را در زندگی خود دید، حالا برای تعطیلات و رسیدگی به امور شخصی راهی خارج از کشور شده است. یکی از دوستان شهریار در گفتوگویی کوتاه سفر او را تایید کرد اما مدعی شد نمیداند این مسافرت تا چه زمانی طول میکشد و علی دایی طی روزهای اقامت در خارج از ایران به کدام کشورها سفر خواهد کرد. قدر مسلم اینکه با توجه به شناخت رسانهها از دایی، او برای همیشه در آن سوی آبها ماندگار نخواهد شد و دیر یا زود به ایران بازمیگردد. علی دایی از بهار سال ۹۸ و پس از پایان همکاری با باشگاه سایپا، دیگر فعالیتی در فوتبال ایران نداشته است.
Comments: It’s interesting to hear about heat pumps in recent years in America. I saw them first in southern Europe and later on in Iran. The difference in Iran was something else vs the old fashioned coolers. Now, Americans are getting them like crazy. The cost of the equipment is very reasonable ($2,000 in average) but installation costs are crazy. They are great mainly for what Faramarz is describing. Having one in your bedroom could save a lot of energy. It will not cool the whole house but exactly where you want it.
Comments: Yes, the humidity is what is really problematic and it increases as the night goes on and the marine layer comes in. It is usually far more uncomfortable at 2am than it is at 8pm when the nice ocean breeze comes through the city. The other thing is that even in homes where there is an AC, because it was not used all that much, there was very little incentive to put two units in two story homes. So, now a whole lot of houses have AC, but without a thermostat upstairs which makes the units stay mostly unused at night, in spite of the high temperature and humidity. My friend's house on Mount Solidad does not have AC anyway. So, he is looking for a shelter these days. :) |
