Comments: Hi Farid. Coming to Australia was the best gift my father gave to me and hence my half Iranian kids and quarter Iranian grandkids. He sacrificed his profession from a job in Tehran to a farmer in a backward village in Australia. Both him and my mother lost all their contacts with Iranian and so the rest of us till ten years later when I met another student from Afghanistan in university. While living in Australia was reasonably isolated and not that easy as locals did not like darker skin people much, we had freedom of choice in politics and access to free education in university level. Australia was backward then, but has gone forward a lot since as the number of immigrants from non-English speaking countries has increased. In here if you have a job, you contribute towards your retirement at various ages. In my case was 65years but for my kids could be as high as 70. When the amount of your superannuation reaches a fixed lower number, you may receive pension from government depending on your assets. That could be as much as $550 or more per week, plus health card and number of age pension discount in things like car registration, electricity, home rates etc. Yes, it was hard to leave your culture and lifestyle when you are young, but I will never change Australia for anywhere else in the world for its largeness, beauty, freedom, its reasonable law and order and away from the other social issues existing in Europe and USA. Long live Australia and Iran. Fred

Comments: I have always been interested in languages! Timeline of some of the world’s oldest languages spoken today Egyptian: 2690 BC – Present (circa. 4700 years old) Sanskrit: 1500 BC – Present (circa. 3500 years old) Greek: 1450 BC – Present (circa. 3500 years old) Chinese: 1250 BC – Present (circa. 3300 years old) Aramaic: 1100 BC – Present (circa. 3100 years old) Hebrew: 1000 BC–200 CE, 1800 – Present (circa. 3000 years old) Farsi: 522 BC – Present (circa. 2500 years old) Tamil: 300 BC – Present (circa. 2300 years old) Korean: no later than 57 BC – Present (circa. 2100 years old) Italian: as a descendent of Latin, 100 BC – Present (circa. 2100 years old) Bonus: Arabic: roughly 100 CE – Present (circa. 1900 years old)
Comments: There are growing indications that both Iran and the United States have taken steps to dial back tensions in recent weeks and months, though the de-escalation remains tentative and could easily collapse. Western officials and regional analysts point to Iran’s slightly slower pace of uranium enrichment work, a decline in attacks by Iranian-backed groups on U.S. forces in Iraq and Syria, an increase in Iran’s oil exports and a prisoner exchange agreement that appears close to completion as signs of a step back from confrontation.
Comments: What I meant was not necessarily the results but the way we played. From the highlights, what I saw in yesterday's game was a lot of chances that should have been scored and did not. Some of it because of selfish play, and others because of players not being in sync, both in terms of timing and how the play was going to go. In the highlights, I see a lot more disorganization with almost the same players. This is very worrying to me because it looks to me like we are going back to Ali Asghari style. hamatoon hamle konid without instruction about how to do that!
Comments: Faramarz, I think Iran played one of their best games (not only results but quality and beauty) in the WC against Wales. Game yesterday was better than some games I have watched in the past few years but not as good. Finally, I don’t think comparing games is doable when the opponent is not the same.
Comments: Players are mostly the same. Big difference is the coaching, ghandali instead of CQ and Mohebi in place of sardar. Check out the difference in quality of the play. By the way, I do not see Mohebi making it big unless he changes his selfish play. We could have won this game by a difference of 3 or 4 had he passed some of those opportunities. In this way others will realize he is not passing and so they will not pass to him. Bitter chemistry that will hurt the team and his own career.
Comments: Just as a comparison, those of you who watched the game yesterday, I would like your opinion the comparison between our game against Wales and the one against Bulgaria, clearly a much worse team. Here are the highlights: https://youtu.be/IsyWPAFsGbY
Comments: Cost of education in this country is ridiculous. Europeans are known to pay high taxes, but when you add everything that we pay in taxes after we are done paying taxes, it adds up to quite a lot. Certainly more than Sweden and Germany which pay some of the highest taxes in Europe. The big difference is that in those countries they do not take people's money and bomb innocent people for the pocket of the few rich. Instead they spend the money on their social net and infrastructure.
Comments: Wow what a life story Rashti jAn. I knew the tip of the iceberg, only the biochemist part! Is your son in ophthalmology or optometry? I am guessing the latter since they do have a separate school of their own and they are so rare! I do not think we have one here in San Diego, a city of 3 million people!

Comments: Most of us make the mistake of looking at IRI as stupid people doing stupid things. We were 50% right. They do lots of stupid stuff but they turned out to be smarter than we gave them credit for. Smart, in this case, doesn’t mean anything positive. I’m sure there are other words for who they are. Nevertheless, they survived much longer than anyone predicted they would. In my opinion, the most effective method they used was to play bad guys in the region while making shady deals with both East & West. These deals had nothing to do with any improvement to the country but solely to keep them in charge. They are masters of survival. They don’t hesitate to sell their mom to either side when necessary.
Comments: Maybe not!!!
Comments: Pretty sad!!!
All I can say is wow! Impressive life story. America dream or dreams in general are not the same for everyone. I think the term American dream was part of a campaign years back that was designed to promote home ownership. It was truly achievable 50-60 years ago. A factory worker or just about any blue collar worker could achieve that dream. Another phrase used was the land of opportunity. That was also very much true. Anyone, from anywhere had opportunities to do just about anything and become anything in America with hard work and determination. They are not fully gone but much harder with passing years. It doesn’t mean it has gotten easier anywhere else but America was way on top but slipping away from its glory days. On the subject of happiness, I have to say it is really an individual thing. Some are happy with money and power. Some others are happy with friends and family. It all depends on the person. There is no measure of happiness that could be used to get an accurate picture. For most people it changes through out their lives. As a young person most are after careers, money, title and such. Some will carry that to their grave. Others learn that it doesn’t work for them after a while. I don’t think there is any absolute right or wrong way to get happy as long as it doesn’t come in the expense of others.
QA/QC بودم. |
