Comments: I don't like to comment on the arguments on the board but I give you my understanding of this page. I don't come here to carry out a conversation or debate a particular subject with anyone. Case in point is my criticism of CQ over the years and Faramarz support of him. I state my point he does his and that's it I don't try to debate him or change his mind. My purpose is to state my perspective and let the readers hear it. Basically I come here expecting to inform and get informed mainly about Iranian sports and then other Iranian subjects. I don't expect anything more or anything less. Some of the posters here want to carry a conversation and argue about a subject, I think that's better done in person not behind a keyboard. Comments: Pretty good showing by TM today playing positive football. GN started with 7 changes from the last match and then subbed in more players. I think he has pretty much played all the people he invited to this camp in these 2 games. Contrasting showing by the U23 team. They played a very shelakhteh football, some of them literally, like captain Yasin Salmani whose shorts was always hanging high or low! The players started arguing with the ref from the get go. The team has some talent but not the right leadership and attitude. They need a kick in the butt to gain the right attitude! When mind is set on a subject, it’s almost impossible to move it. When that happens, everything needs to fit that narrative. Covid was the best example of that. A virus became a political weapon. Comments: I’ve been getting very interested in human mind. It’s amazing how we can all hear the same conversation and at the same time take it differently. It used to be a time that conversations were more private. Back then, it was always hard to tell who said what. We are at the age of technology. Just about everything is recorded. Still, it’s almost impossible to convince someone what they just said. You can show them the voice, video or the text of the conversation and still they deny the fact. Or even worse, they twist it to their narrative. I always thought it was because they are fighting the fact knowing it is not true. I have come to understand that it is really what they believe is true. Mind can play tricks on us.

Comments: Only the 1st team from each group qualify for the next round. 4 of the best 2nd place teams will also qualify. To make the matter more complicated, there are groups of 4 teams and some are 3 teams. The groups with 4 teams drop the points from the last team in the group. Even worse is Qatar is already qualified as the host but playing in the tournament. Games against Qatar are not counted!!! It requires AI to figure who advanced!!!
