Comments: PER had lost the game even before it started to the reputation of the opponents players. Golmo was too timid in his line up and the players had the frightening in them from the start. This Al Nasr team was very beatable if PER had the guts to confront them just like any other team and play their 'normal' game. Ronaldo and Mane did not do jack and 2 Saudis scored their goals.
Comments: HAMVATAN™, They are many decent people back home fighting the fight and paying for it as well. One of them will rise above all and help free the country. People outside can help but in all reality, they are not going to change the regime. Worse part of it is the way Iranians outside Iran treat each other. Labeling, name calling and infighting will only help the IRI. We do need a person to unite people against the real enemy.

Wikipedia Born: 1964 (age 59 years) These will become the movement leaders (even though have no claim as such) instead of the outside "leaders" who are after power and elimination of others (tafragheh). In the eyes of the youth on the streets these people have sacrificed personally and are revered. There are many Toomaj, .... I do not know all of them but the new generation knows them. At the least they did not sit around for 44 years (like RP) and enjoyed their life (without a day of work experience) to jump at the opportunity of grabbing power (while talking with both sides of his mouth-saying all the nice things and then having his attack dogs ruining the movement by marginalizing other activists). Any of us are way more qualified than him.
Comments: I don't understand why some Iranians want to toally goozpeech themselves rather than seeing the light right in front of them  baba the 'opposition' tried very hard to get the people to show up and join their call for demos. People simply did not show up. Can you dig it? Instead people showed up to see some washed up footballer. What it means is that people are not interested in the BS that the 'opposition' is throwing at them. They are not going to dance to any tune of the people in the anti-Iranian business playing for them. Can you dig it? How many times should the people say 'no' for them to understand this concept. Look if a girl says no to you everytime you ask her out, then she means NO, can you dig it?

This is what one of the real leaders of the movement had to say: @Hosseinronaghi مقصر حکومت است و ما مخالفانش کوتاهی کردیم. آنچه گذشت «هدف حکومت» در بخش تبلیغات (پروپاگاندا) برای تحتالشعاع قرار دادن سالگرد اعتراضات با نمایشی از شور مردم در استقبال از رونالدو بود اما همچنان «مقصر حکومت» است نه مردم. در کنار آن کوتاهی عملکرد منتقدان، مخالفان و اپوزیسیون را باید دید. منتقدان طرفداران رونالدو (که در نگاهشان این طرفداران ناهنجارند) در راستای آگاهسازی جامعه هدف حکومت چه کردند؟ آیا از هدف و برنامه حکومت برای سوءاستفاده از حضور یک چهره فوتبالیست اطلاعرسانی کردند؟ آیا به فدراسیون فوتبال آسیا در مورد زمان برگزاری مسابقات و همزمانی آن با سالگرد اعتراضات اعتراض کردند؟ به حضور چهرههای جهانی فوتبال در کشوری که زنان امکان حضور در ورزشگاه را ندارند و در سالگرد کشتار وسیع اعترضات اخیر هستند واکنش اعتراضی نشان دادند؟ نمیتوانستیم قبل از وقوع این جریان و «پیش از آنکه مردم مقصر شوند» به مردم هشدار دهیم که حکومت قرار است چنین سواستفادهای از شور و اشتیاق فوتبالی شما بکند؟ نمیتوانستیم از فدراسیون فوتبال آسیا، تحریم یا عدم برگزاری مسابقات در ایران را بهخاطر همزمانی آن با سالگرد اعتراضات و وضعیت حقوق زنان و حقوق بشر درخواست کنیم؟ نمیتوانستیم به حضور رونالدو و چهرههای چون اون در راستای عادیسازی شرایط بحرانی ایران اعتراض کرده و آنها را منصرف کنیم؟ «هدف و برنامه حکومت» برای استفاده تبلیغاتی از حضور رونالدو در ایران و راه انداختن شوی (همه چیز در ایران عادی و آرام است) در سالگرد اعتراضات مشخص بودهاست، آنچیزی که مشخص نبود هدف و برنامه اپوزیسیون، مخالفان و منتقدان برای جلوگیری از راهاندازی شوی تبلیغاتی حکومت برای سواستفاده از آن و عادیسازی در سالگرد اعتراضات در شرایط کنونی در عرصه جهانی بودهاست. آری همچنان حکومت مقصر است و ما نیز بهعنوان مخالف و منتقد کوتاهی کردیم چون برنامه و آیندهنگری نداشتیم و طبق معمول کوتاهترین دیوار، دیوار مردم است. بخش یک: تکرار کنیم: «مردم مقصر نیستند» (https://t.me/hosseinronaghi/1139) بخش دو: چرا آنها (که دنبال اتوبوس رونالدو میدوند) برای اعتراض نمیآیند؟ (https://t.me/hosseinronaghi/1141) @Hosseinronaghi

Comments: Opposition leaders had a great opportunity to get people out. It would have been much harder for the militants in Iran to control the crowd yesterday and today. This was a great opportunity to show the world how Iranians are hungry for change. Another lost opportunity? Are the opposition leaders actually doing anything or just argue amongst themselves? I don’t understand why people didn’t just do this themselves.

Comments: On the Ronaldo vs the movement subject, I was also shocked to see how many opposition people picked up on the ronaldo thing and just amplified what the government was wishing. All that BS judgement as to whether it was good or bad that people were storming Ronaldo's bus, hotel, mostarAh, etc. The opposition was played like a musical instrument at the hands of a master!

Not a whole lot of running! There was very little desire to go forward and even when they were behind and a good opportunity presented itself, they were staying back or passing back! Coaching: Not sure GM had any attack instruction. It was all staying back and defending! But even that was lackluster! The second goal was a great example of that. The entire defensive and midfield line was just watching until they were forced to set up the goal and subsequently score it on themselves! Opponent: Is also a very low quality team. Other than a couple of big names, the rest are quite subpar, inline with the Perspolis players. This was a team that with a different game plan and fans in the stadium, it could have been won. By the way, I heard that the reason fans were not in the stadium was because the reds are banned by FIFA!
