Comments: LOL (Original) called the number of golds exactly right!!!! Wow. I'd like to take credit for calling the silvers right. All of us over called the bronze medals! I think this is the category that we did the worst! The two LOLs were very close though!
Comments: I wonder what countries like Bahrain's reasoning is for buying these athletes. Is the argument that their presence will improve their domestic athletes? Or is it just for some Sheikh to say that we won so many medals? If it is the latter, they have to constantly refill the pipeline as these athletes will get old or out of shape!
Comments: I think Farid and Rashti summed it up well, not just what is happening here, but also with some other group of Iranians outside of Iran, mostly in the US. Internet heroes are losers who hide behind a keyboard and show their real personality in the digital world because they do not have the backbone to show it in real life. This is not specific to Iranians, but with Iranian shAhollAhies this has become the only way forward in their politics. Labeling and smearing. The challenge for them is that once the digital world ends and they have to deal with the real world, they become the scared moosh that they always have been. You guys' response was right on. Kudos to all of you.
Comments: Zinsky what is the mixed category? Are there events that have both women and men competing? at least I did not come in last. :) I think the weight lifting team is hit by the doping stuff that they were caught doing some years ago. The big teams like USA, Russia, China, they do active research and development in performance enhancing drugs and always have drugs available to them for which no tests are available yet. But Iranian athletes are always a few years behind using drugs that are well known. They were caught red handed in weight lifting a few years ago.
Comments: We lost the Waterpolo 3rd place game in penalty shoot-out. I think we are done with the Asian games. Here is the final tally. Ice Cream goes to both LOLs but mainly to the Original one!!!
Comments: Just about every medal won by Bahrain came from athletes from other countries including Kenya, Russia, Armenia, Ethiopia & Nigeria. They won 10 gold in Athletics with a full African team!
Comments: Russian wrestler, Tazhudinov, competing for Bahrain won the gold by beating Mojtaba Goleij of Iran.
Comments: Worse showing in Weightlifting for a longtime. Only one Silver!!!
Comments: The Armenian weightlifter who competes for Bahrain won the gold in Weightlifting. Iran got a silver.
Comments: Farid, Remember, you have to have an opinion about everything. It needs to be expressed everywhere, loud and with so much passion. Lastly, everyone else needs to agree with you or else. If you don't have an opinion, or if you don't express it where & when asked, or if it is not the same as the other guy, you need to spend hours defending yourself against the mob who love to argue and talk but never actually do anything useful. The illness has spread & there is no going back.

Medalists
Comments: There are only two more potential medals left in Weightlifting. Gold will be difficult, but silver & bronze are doable.

Comments: We are almost there.

Comments: The world is changing fast AI-based drug discovery is in full swing with a very interesting race going on.
Comments: The other issue for me is that when I do have an opinion to express about some current event, I find myself at odds with demands of a loser who constantly demands people express opinions in his favor. Even when I agree with him, I refuse to go down that path. It is embarrassing to agree with someone who is so abusive behind the keyboard.

Comments: Resistance forces invade occupied Palestine, settlers captured, rockets hit all across the occupied land
Comments: Unfortunately, it is true that the noble peace prize has become a political tool. With it having gone to people like the US president, it has very little reputation left. I think this will bring a temporary attention to the struggles of people of Iran, but I it will be very temporary and minimal. This is not a big deal that people would like it to be. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
