I think there is a systematic bias that grips every aspects of the society in United States. Universities are no exception in that. As a result there is a huge rift between the student population and the administration on a whole host of issues. This is not the only one.

This is not unlike the society as a whole where people are constantly in a struggle against the systemic bias that is imposed from the top.

2020, THE 1953 IRANIAN COUP THAT CHANGED HISTORY

Sixty-six years ago, “Operation Ajax,” as the plot was code-named, reshaped the history of Iran, the Middle East, and the world. Following WWII, the tides of nationalism and anticolonialism poured across Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Iranian military officers supported and financed by the CIA from the U.S. and Britain’s MI-6 intelligence agencies along with several million dollars initiated a coup d'etat whose ‘blowback’ is still felt today. The events, regarding Iran’s burgeoning democracy in 1951, transpiring over a five-day period from August 15-19 resonated far beyond Iran's borders and despite sixty-six years of history, the coup continues to weigh heavily on Iran's national psyche. The United States, which depicted itself as the protector, custodian and godparent of freedom, liberty and democracy was seen as resorting to nefarious affairs to rid itself of a democratically elected government to fit its own geopolitical strategic interests.

Roger Waters, British rock musician and founding member of band Pink Floyd has expressed his strong opinions about the relationship between Israel and Hamas in a recent appearance on commentator Joe Rogan's popular podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience.
"The Israelis seem now to have a policy of ... murdering so many of them that they are absolutely trying to create another intifada. So they can make it an armed conflict...so they can just kill them all," he said, adding that Israel is provoking the Palestinians into an armed conflict in order to manufacture an excuse to destroy them.
Waters started out his statements by reminding Rogan that Hamas is actually "the democratically elected government of Gaza." He quickly added that "there is an armed wing and whatever..." and then began speaking about occupation and the Geneva convention.

How is it that if students support one side, they are misinformed and bias but if they do the same for the other side, we called them smart & brave???

University of Pennsylvania professor declared that higher education has failed vehemently anti-Israel students in a recent op-ed.

"We have failed," Ezekiel Emanuel wrote in a New York Times op-ed published Tuesday after the Hamas terror attacks on Israel that has left at least 1,400 Israeli civilians and soldiers dead.

"When a coalition of 34 student organizations at Harvard can say that they ‘hold the Israeli regime entirely responsible for all unfolding violence’ and students at other elite universities blame Israel alone for the attack Hamas carried out on Israelis on Oct. 7 or even praise the massacre, something is deeply wrong at America’s colleges and universities," the professor concluded.

"Those of us who are university leaders and faculty are at fault," he wrote. "We may graduate our students, confer degrees that certify their qualifications as the best and brightest. But we have clearly failed to educate them. We have failed to give them the ethical foundation and moral compass to recognize the basics of humanity."

He continued: "We in the academy need to look more deeply at how it is possible that so many undergraduates, graduate students, law students and faculty at our nation’s finest colleges and universities could have such moral blinders."

Why do you guys think Hamas decided to attack? Nothing, in terms of Israeili response, is a surprise. So, why did they attack?

Kanani's first goal was a great one! Qatar held up for 70 minutes pretty well. But after that they just let it go and the flood gates opened.

The one intentional aspect was that Taremi was playing behind the forwards. He created so many chances. I already do not like #19, whoever that was. We would have had 4 more goals had he known how to score or at least pass when he needs to.

From what I saw, it was what you expect a CQ-GN match up. Organized defense on one side and random unplanned offense on the other.
