Comments: It’s a strategy on all sides to only focus on the event of the day or recent days rather than the root causes. History is just too complicated for people to discuss. We look at Iran and how it went from what it was to what is now. Look at Israel vs Palestine. Most news outlets talk about 2 weeks ago and how these crazy people crossed the border and killed so many. No one wants to discuss what was the motivation. They obviously realized they are walking into a massive war and many of their own friends and family will die. Why would anyone do this? No one talks about the pain before the attack and if it is any worse now.
Comments: The United States on Wednesday vetoed a UN Security Council resolution that would have called for “humanitarian pauses” to deliver lifesaving aid to millions in Gaza. The failure by the Council to make its first public intervention on the Israel-Gaza crisis followed the rejection of a Russian-backed draft on Monday evening. While 12 of the Council’s 15 members voted in favour of the Brazilian-led text, one (United States) voted against, and two (Russia, and the United Kingdom) abstained. A ‘no’ vote from any one of the five permanent members of the Council stops action on any measure put before it. The body’s permanent members are China, France, Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Comments: از بین استقلال و پرسپولیس فقط یکی در آزادی میماند! ایسنا نوشت: ورزشگاه آزادی تهران از این پس نمیتواند اجازه میزبانی مسابقات خانگی استقلال و پرسپولیس تهران را با هم داشته باشد. میزبانی مسابقات خانگی تیمهای استقلال و پرسپولیس در تهران به میزبانی ورزشگاه آزادی طی هفتههای اخیر به یکی از سوژههای پرحرف و حدیث لیگ برتر فوتبال ایران تبدیل شده است. طبق آخرین اخباری که خبرنگار ایسنا به دست آورده، با توجه به ضرورت بازسازی ورزشگاه آزادی، مسئولان این ورزشگاه تصمیم گرفتهاند که از این پس، ورزشگاه آزادی فقط میزبان مسابقات تیم ملی فوتبال ایران و یکی از دو تیم استقلال و پرسپولیس باشد. این مساله به اصلاع مسئولان دو باشگاه بزرگ تهرانی رسیده و حالا این دو باشگاه تا بعد از ظهر امروز (دوشنبه) وقت دارند که تکلیف این مساله را روشن کنند. باشگاههای استقلال و پرسپولیس تهران برای اخذ مجوز میزبانی در این ورزشگاه باید با شرکت توسعه و تجهیز اماکن ورزشی مذاکره کنند تا رضایت این سازمان را جلب کنند. از میان این دو باشگاه هر کدام که پیشنهاد بهتری ارائه کند میتواند همچنان بازیهای خانگیاش را در ورزشگاه آزادی برپا کند.

Comments: People like Maher are sleepers. I don't know about that. I think there are two types of this people. The ones who truly believe and support Israel/Jewish state and the ones who need to do it because they are told to do so or else. Maher is more than likely part of the 1st group and he invites hosts that are mix of the two. Either way, they need to make sure the support is strong. They do it more often than not when the whole narrative changes as it seems to be the case now.

Comments: Faramarz khan it was interesting. I had to go now because my rotations had a break for a few weeks. I do not have any other breaks all year. Everything is much more expensive, but everyone knows this. What is strange and I cannot figure out is that no matter how bad the economy is, there are still very expensive high rises are going up. And they get sold or rented. So, there must be a small but not insignificant proportion of the population that is doing very very well. The remaining majority is simply poor. There is not much of a middle class.
Comments: Zinsky khan, all governments have sleepers here in the USA. Israeli government does too. They are just a lot more openly spies of Israel because it is accepted. People like Maher are sleepers. In times when Israel is not killing a bunch of people, they are normal comedian/progressive political showmen. But at times like this, they are essentially a sleeper waking up. It does not matter whether they are on the Israeli pay role. They act like one any way. I saw one of his recent shows and it was disgusting how he was just brushing aside all the dead in Gaza, the land taken by force, and the whole history.
Comments: Watched two recent episodes of Bill Maher (DVR). I’m not planning to “cancel” him as most people do these days. He is 100% pro Israel. The problem is that he and his hosts are trying too hard. Obviously, the public opinion is turning against Israel and all TV bosses being Jewish are putting pressure on these guys to change the narrative.

Comments: A group of 55 prominent artists and advocates in the entertainment industry have signed an open letter to President Joe Biden, urging for a call for a ceasefire in Gaza and Israel. The signatories include names such as Joaquin Phoenix, Cate Blanchett, Jon Stewart, Kristen Stewart, Susan Sarandon, Mahershala Ali, Riz Ahmed, Ramy Youssef and Quinta Brunson. “We urge your administration, and all world leaders, to honor all of the lives in the Holy Land and call for and facilitate a ceasefire without delay – an end to the bombing of Gaza, and the safe release of hostages,” the letter reads.
