Comments: Getting closer to more and more bloodshed … In Gaza, the ever present fear of sudden death has prompted mothers to write their children’s names on their legs and hips, to help with identification if they are killed in an airstrike. They have no control over the Israeli war waged against them, which is very much out of the 21st century – fought from the cockpits of jets and the control rooms of hi-tech naval ships. Yet, on the streets of southern Gaza, people’s lives have been bombed back decades. On Friday night, that bombing intensified in the heaviest strikes of the war, turning the sky orange, as mobile phone networks, internet and even satellite phones stopped working, leaving Gaza almost entirely cut off from the world. Even before then, families displaced from Gaza City and the cities further north, which have borne the worst of the Israeli strikes, numbering several hundred a day, were surviving by collecting broken furniture and scrap wood in the streets to use as fuel for cooking. There is very little cooking gas. And without power or internet, many had already abandoned phones and televisions, underlining an atmosphere of often brutal isolation. For those who have them, radios have become the sole link to the outside world.

Comments: Maryam Mirzakhani Was born in Tehran but her parents are from Zanjan (based on my family back home) similar to me! Ok, I’m not comparing myself to her, just saying 🤫😎
Comments: Maghsoud, Full disclosure! I did not check the accuracy of the video. I knew few who were from Zanjan for sure but the rest, I didn’t know. I will take the credit for it either way.
Comments: Agha Zinsky, Maryam Mirzakhani was from Zanjan? That was a real interesting very short video!! Thank you.

Comments: The other thing Shah said back then that has come back to be a headline now is that he claimed that the american media was biased toward Israel and was only presenting one side. He had a lot of predictions that came to be true, but these two have stuck with me all along. Arabs governments work like mafia. Some go one way and the rest go the other way. But the important thing is that they do nothing for the Palestinians and only chant their side of rhetoric. Getting involved is never on the agenda. Turkey or even Russia has to step in, WTF! This is where Mammad Arreh should be in the middle either taking the war to the next level or do work toward peace. Instead he is firmly on the side of whatever US does from outside the hoze.
Comments: Rashti jAn, that video makes me really mad. There is no reason at all for these problems in humanity.
Comments: I was watching an interview with Shah some 50 years ago. Subject was Israel and Palestine. He basically was saying that Palestine and the rest of the Arab world should unite and demand their rights and land. He also (with a funny look) said that Arabs are not going to do anything. He criticized Israel for its role but was more critical of Palestinians for not being able to build a government to represent them. Seems accurate but not easy. I totally agree with Arabs being divided and moftkhor. I don’t think Palestine ever had a chance. Even if they find a leader, it won’t last long enough to make a difference. He/she will not survive.
