"This is not just an attack on Israel — this was an attack on America. Finish them, @Netanyahu. They should have hell to pay for what they have just done," the Republican politician said on Sunday, a day after Hamas carried out the surprise but coordinated attack. "I'll say this to Prime Minister Netanyahu, Hamas did this and you know Iran is behind it. Finish them."
Haley faced some criticism in the past two days for saying 'finish them'. Hu Xijin, a media professional, accused the Republican leader of inciting more violence at a time when other nations were trying to calm things down. "What does “finish them” mean?" he asked. "When many countries are calling for an end to escalating tensions, @NikkiHaley seems to be inciting more killings. And such a person is running for US president."

ANKARA, Turkey (AP) — Israel said Saturday that it was recalling its diplomats from Turkey over “increasingly harsh statements” coming from the government in Ankara. The announcement came after Turkey’s president told a massive protest crowd in Istanbul that his government was preparing to declare Israel a “war criminal” due to its actions in the Gaza Strip.
Israel previously removed its diplomats out of Turkey for security reasons. But Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen said on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, that they were being ordered to pull out now for a reassessment of the ties between Turkey and Israel.
Cohen’s statement suggested a move that could sever the newly restored diplomatic ties between the two countries. There was no immediate response from the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
Earlier Saturday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said during the pro-Palestinian rally that attracted hundreds of thousands of participants that his country planned to formally accuse Israel of committing war crimes in the Gaza Strip.

She is gone.
After 28 days in a coma, her body shut down. This 16 year old child was brutally assaulted by “morality police” because she wasn’t wearing a cloth on her head. World, does this make sense? Why does the regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran force women to cover their hair? They say it is to “protect” them from male sexual desire and urges. So this morality police was protecting #ArmitaGaravand by beating her to her death just like they were “protecting” #MahsaAmini ? The reality is that the IRI is a gender apartheid state that uses force and oppression to control women and try to repress their rights in all aspects of daily life. We ask the world, just as you stood up against racial apartheid in South Africa, we ask you to stand up against gender apartheid in Iran. Stand up for Armita and Mahsa and 40 million Iranian women who are legally worth half a man under the law.

Welcome to freedom!!!
U.S. Senate passed a unanimous resolution condemning what it called “anti-Israel, pro-Hamas student groups” across the country following a day of walkouts. Hundreds of students, led by Students for Justice in Palestine and Jewish Voice for Peace, walked out of classes at Columbia University, Princeton University, New York University, and dozens of other colleges in what they described as a demand for a ceasefire in Gaza and end to U.S. military support to Israel. The Senate resolution condemned student groups for ostensibly supporting Hamas as part of a broader government and corporate pushback on protests over the war.
As the conflict intensifies, disputes are spilling over from campuses and government into many workplaces as well. Recent weeks have seen pressure by government officials against student activist groups, the creation of public blacklists in multiple industries, and a wave of politically motivated firings over people’s publicly stated views on the conflict.
“We are seeing people being fired from their jobs, being investigated by HR over their social media posts or conversations with colleagues, and having job offers rescinded. There is a clear trend that people’s jobs are being targeted right now,” said Dima Khalidi, the founder and director of Palestine Legal, an advocacy organization that seeks to preserve the civil rights of supporters of Palestinian rights in the United States.

Bedbugs? Not sure I have much to say about that. Worse part is that you can bring them back home. Very hard to get rid off.
I recall an outbreak in Lice when my kids were in elementary school in SD. That was also scary. The lice were basically not responding to anything. The only way to get rid of them in kids head/hair was to find them one by one and remove them. The shampoo and other chemicals had no effect!

The Bedbugs in Paris: Here’s What We Know So Far

Here’s a sentence I never thought I’d write: bedbugs have taken over the city of Paris, and we are now faced with the prospect that the outbreak could travel overseas. The infestation began just before Paris Fashion Week (yes, these bugs have good taste), when reports broke of increased sightings of the insects in homes, cinemas, trains and even hospitals. Now, questions are being asked about the safety of traveling to and from Paris; what we can do to prevent the spread, and whether the critters are already settling in our mattresses. Below, we answer all your questions about travel and the bedbug spread.

That is high for Boston this time of the year. I do not remember ever having that in November when I lived there!

We are having 80's all next week here. Another record for us.

Speaking of hot weather, have you guys seen the bedbug problem in Paris? It is blamed partially on 4.5 degrees warmer than usual October. Hatching time for the eggs is reduced to 4 days as opposed to 10 days in normal October weather. I have to go there in two weeks and am not so sure now!
