Iran's air force has only a few dozen strike aircraft, including Russian jets as well as ageing U.S. models acquired before the 1979 Islamic Revolution. "Plans have been finalised for Sukhoi Su-35 fighter jets, Mil Mi-28 attack helicopters, and Yak-130 jet trainers to join the combat units of Iran's Army," Iran's deputy Defence Minister Mehdi Farahi said. The Tasnim report did not include any Russian confirmation of the deal. In 2018, Iran said it had started production of the locally-designed Kowsar fighter for use in its air force. Military experts believe the jet is a carbon copy of the F-5, first produced in the United States in the 1960s. Comments: It is to everyone's benefit right now for Iran to be a strong villain. So, everyone is making shit about Iran now. Arabs use it to lobby congress for more toys, US uses it to sell more toys, Israel uses it to woe arabs and says you are better off siding with me against Iran, Russia uses it to scare people and embolden Iran when they need to do something, and Iran of course likes it because it gives the radicals hope that if they stick with Iran they will have a strong backing. All around good.

Comments: Couldn’t watch the game due to work again!!! From highlights, Taremi did well. His offsite goal was pretty close but doesn’t matter. He did well feeding the offense but they missed few descent chances. How many teams from each group moves to the next round?

Comments: Well, end of teh game was just a kickball. Porto defense and forward lines were subpar.
Comments: Another terible example. Taremi set up Francesco perfectly. He should have passed the ball back to Taremi for an easy tap in, or taken a shot which he did but straight into the keeper's gut!

Comments: Bringing Taremi back to the midfield improves that line, but that leaves a pretty weak forward line for Porto. The Brazilian dude is a waste of time. His fake dives are the worst!
Comments: I do not know about Taremi's goal, but Porto defense definitely is doing very poorly. The second goal was criminal. Three Barca players among some 7 Porto players and they still scored!
Comments: Porto defense is weak. On both goals they just stand around and watch. I thought Taremi's goal was not offside. |
